Das Log Castle war früher ein hoch bewertetes Bed & Breakfast und kann ab sofort gemietet werden. Das mit Holzstämmen aus Familienbesitz erbaute Log Castle ist eine warme und einladende Oase für Ihre Familie und Freunde. Das vielseitige Design, der atemberaubende Blick auf das Wasser von den meisten Zimmern und die Strandlage machen es zu einem idealen Ausgangspunkt für Ihren Urlaub. Genießen Sie den Sandstrand mit einer breiten Sandbank, kleinen (Kinder-) Kajaks zum Paddeln, einem Floß zum Schwimmen und kilometerlangen Stränden mit geringer Bevölkerungsdichte. Wenn Sie ein gutes Timing haben, können Sie sogar Wale in der Bucht vom Deck aus auftauchen sehen. Die Küche wurde kürzlich renoviert und verfügt über Geräte aus rostfreiem Edelstahl, eine Granitplatte und einen 180-Grad-Blick auf das Wasser. Der große Kamin im Wohnzimmer sorgt für einen komfortablen und gemütlichen Rückzugsort. Kilometerlange Wanderwege führen durch den Wald über die Straße. Wir haben eine angeschlossene, bewohnte Wohnung, daher ist nach 22:00 Uhr eine ruhige Zeit erforderlich. Das charmante Dorf Langley mit seinen Geschäften, Galerien, Restaurants und vielem mehr ist 1,5 km entfernt - eine fünfminütige Autofahrt oder ein Spaziergang entlang des Strandes. Ein Highlight des Log Castle ist, dass sich die Küche und zwei Schlafzimmer jeweils im achtseitigen Turm befinden - streiten Sie nicht darüber, wer mit seiner phänomenalen Aussicht den obersten Turmraum bekommt. Angeln und Schwimmen (besonders wenn die Flut über eine sonnige Sandbank hereinbricht) - sorgen für wunderbare Familienerinnerungen.

Amazing Cabin Experience
We spent a cool winter weekend on Whidbey Island and couldn't have picked a better place to relax and enjoy the cabin, views, and sealife that the Log Castle has to offer. The entire family loved exploring all the unique aspects of the cabin and property, discovering a number of very unique aspects of a hand built family cabin. Best family summer house ever!
The Log Castle is a special place. It was easily large enough and for 11 family members, 2-74 years of age. The home is uniquely beautiful, an art piece in itself, but comfortable at the same time. The kitchen is fully equipped, along with plenty of bedding. There was much to do at the cabin, swimming, hiking, beach walking, kayaking, and more. The town of Langley is very cute with lots of restaurants. There is much to explore on the Island. Our highlight was watching a bald eagle that showed up on the beach each morning and watching the seals, especially when they came up on the raft.

Such a magical place
We spent time at the log castle with family from out of state and it did not disappoint. I thought it had to be too good to be true that someone could have this many 5 star reviews, but once you meet Lea, you see why. She is sharing a magical piece of her family’s history and we were in awe by the beauty of it all. We loved the eclectic nature of the home and kayaking with the seals was incredible. The home feels like it’s a world away, but you’re really close to restaurants and grocery store if needed! We will cherish our memories at the log castle forever. Thank you!

Best VRBO stay I've ever had
We loved everything about our stay at the Log Castle: the communication with the owners, being greeted at the house when we arrived, the location, the house itself, everything. We went with a group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 7-9) and everyone loved it. We saw a grey whale swim past the house one evening and loved the noisy 15+ harbor seals on the nearby dock. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we could ask for. I'm already discussing another trip back here with my parents and sister's famly, since I know they'll love it too. Thank you so much for letting us staying at your magical abode.

Fantastic destination
You will never see a more original log house in your life. Worth staying here just for the house itself! The fact that it's right on the water with an incredible view is almost just a bonus! Fully equipped huge kitchen. Three super comfortable adult bedrooms with bathrooms and a great bunk room if you have kids. All the rooms have the most incredible views. Comfortable dining set up for a large group. We were there in winter weather which was fun but I can see how it would be a fantastic summer destination as well. Everything was absolutely perfect with our stay. The hosts met us when we checked in which was very handy. They had messaged us about opening the front door. When I saw the email I thought , good grief, I think I know how to open a front door but it was actually a good thing they met us there. There are many unique and interesting aspects to this wonderful home and opening the front door is one of them. Go figure! Would happily stay there again.

Just what we needed
Our family came together at the Log Castle to heal from the unexpected loss of our son and to celebrate his life. Lea provided an easel to hold a large tribute board we brought that was dedicated to him. The setting was perfect - serene and peaceful. There was something for everyone to do - walks along the beach (we walked to Langley), the kids took the kayaks out, we walked the forest trails across the highway and we enjoyed the gorgeous views from the deck and inside the house. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of counter space. There were extra tables and chairs to set up for a larger group. We were all impressed by the craftsmanship of this home done by Lea's dad. Our daughter-in-law said this was her favorite place that we had ever chosen for a family get together. We hope we get the opportunity to stay at the Log Castle again.

Great weekend away
We spent Memorial Day weekend here with a few families. It was a perfect spot. Easy beach access and we could always see what the kids were up to from the house. A Magical Experience!
There almost aren’t adequate words to describe the experience of staying here. A stunningly beautiful property with many hidden surprises to discover, you (like us) won’t want to leave when the time comes. In addition to the seals, eagles and occasional whale, the property is beautifully landscaped. Property Managers were extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

Beauty, character, nature, and connection!
My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and are completely enamored by the property. Lea was so friendly in the best way, I felt like I could have chatted with her all day, but didn’t feel intruded on either. Lea and Dennis were outside doing some updates and we felt welcome to be outside on the beach. We had a group of adults laughing and singing along to our favorite throw back tunes which got a little loud despite my best efforts, so I checked in with Lea and she agreed that we could bring it down a notch and we tucked away into a back room once it got late. The beds were all comfortable, the cabin had so much character and history (which we loved reading about!), there were plenty of towels and linens, the kitchen had all of the utensils/pots/pans etc we needed, and the kayaks were a lovely bonus. P.s. The dock that floats out front holds approximately 18 harbor seals; wake up for the sunrise to see them before they scatter at daylight! We did a very thorough clean of the upstairs levels and washed extra loads of laundry to make things easier on them once we left. I would recommend this place to others! :)

Exceptionally unique
This was my second visit to the Log Castle. There are so many special aspects to it! It makes for a very unique, special gathering place. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room, chatting by the fireplace, kayaking with porpoises, comfortable sleeping arrangements, gorgeous sunrises and more. I am grateful we had the opportunity to stay. Everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
