60th Anniversary
Absolutely no place could have topped the Grand River Lodge for our 60th wedding celebration. With eight bedrooms it was a perfect fit for all of our family ages 8 to 80. With nonstop options for activities from golf to pool, hot tub to river front, volleyball to badminton, the week seemed way too short. Endless nooks and crannies accommodated those that took a break to catch up on a good book. The well stocked kitchen wanted for nothing and the elegant decorating topped any place we've ever stayed. We can't thank you enough for an unbelievable week of memories!

Fantastic place for large groups to stay.
Beautiful house on the Wenatchee river, wonderfully equipped for large groups. We loved all the little details that the hosts include with the stay. Our biggest regret was that we didn't have more time to take advantage of all the amenities offered with this property (like the full wet bar, or catering kitchen). The house is even more amazing in person than the pictures make it out to be. If I need a place for a large group in Leavenworth again, I'll certainly book this property!

Family Labor Day Vacation😎
We are so grateful to God and Barbara and Dennis for providing this amazing family vacation. We had a ball in our own spacious, beautiful lodge on the Wenatchee River. Our 3 families ages 12-80, enjoyed watching floaters coming down the river, playing volleyball, basketball and golf outside to playing pool, board games and watching a movie in the theater room inside. Special time reading in the hammocks, on the beach and the deck. Cooking and baking Family meals and enjoying dining outside on the deck and inside. We look forward to a return visit! It was a fantastic family vacation and such a blessing to our family. Thank you again Barbara and Dennis for sharing a paradise on earth. wonderful amenities, well appointed, superb quality, generous spaces. if I try to think of something that could be improved it would be a deeper portion of the river pool that is damned with rocks. It was very hot so it would have been nice to have a dipping area. Plus i think we infringed on 2 water snakes that were in the grass at the waters edge

Exceeded our expectations!
Our son and his fiancé hiked into the mountains to be married at sunrise, and both families stayed here for four nights to celebrate their marriage. It is an amazing home, with so much to do! There were 13 of us, including a 9 and 14 year-old, and we golfed, rode bikes, played yard games, soaked in the river, soaked in the hot tub, sat in the many sitting places outside (we counted 41!), slept in hammocks, played pool, watched a movie, and really enjoyed our time. We all wished we would have stayed longer! We hired a chef to prepare our wedding celebration dinner and a more casual family dinner, and she had everything she needed in the well-stocked kitchen. The house has plenty of room for all of us, and sometimes the most difficult thing was to find someone! The communication with Barb was excellent, and she responded to my questions promptly as we planned our trip. This is an amazing home and I highly recommend it!

Splendid everything!!
Spacious, well constructed home with amenities for all ages!! Our family reunion was celebrated onsite with room to spare!! We enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the River every morning, visiting and spotting birds and other wildlife. The Beach area was comfortable and calm enough to sit and play in. The putting and chipping on the front lawn were a hit with everyone, as was the pool table, hammocks etc… Plenty of gear to play with. The rooms were quiet, cool and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of dishware, serving pieces, silverware and glassware. We loved the location on the river, privacy and proximity to Downtown Leavenworth. We hope to be back soon!!

Loved every minute of our stay!!!!!
It has been almost a week since we closed the door of the beautiful Grand River Lodge after 7 days of happiness!!! We could not have asked for a more wonderful place to spend our 60th wedding anniversary with our family. We loved every single minute!! The house has everything you would like for a family….our 11 ranged from 9-84 years… and besides just being together, everyone found things to do. We are golfers, volleyball players, basketball players, pool players, love movies, playing games, solving puzzles, relaxing, reading, taking cold plunges and then going to the hot tub, roasting marshmallows….and just sitting and visiting in the beautiful environment. We could be together or have our separate little places of quiet. The kitchen has everything you would like. I bugged Barbara about what to bring and she was patient with me and said that it was all there….and she was correct!! Barbara Knapp could not have been more accommodating…a perfect host… and the nicest neighbor greeted us when we arrived and gave us a wonderful tour. All the towels and sheets are of nice quality and everyone slept so well in their own bedroom. We went kayaking and rafting the river, went on a horseback ride and saw the Sound of Music. I recommend all those things….but I assure you that you would have a wonderful vacation if you just stayed at the Lodge. We have been fortunate to stay at nice places but I know of no place we enjoyed more! High recommendation!!!!!

What a wonderful home! Beautiful location and so many amazing details and touches. Heaters on the porch for those chilly evenings were perfect for the older (and not so old) adults. Kitchen has all the tools you need. Kids and teens stayed busy outside with all the sports equipment. Just perfect!

40th Birthday for a friend
To say this property is amazing, would be an understatement. The picture on the VRBO do not give this beautiful property justice. Everything was top of the line. Everything was thought of. I've rented out a few 6,000 sqft property around the US, and I believe this property takes the cake. I've already told my wife about this property and I definitely coming back with the wife and kids.

Perfect trip with friends
A group of 15 of us stayed at Barb's over a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect. All of the amenities are so thoughtfully set up, from the theater room with concessions provided, to the manicured yard with a whole array of sports equipment to play with. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, the views of the river were breathtaking, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. I would stay here again ten times over if I could!

Heaven in the Mountains
This property was breath taking. Nobody wanted to leave. We were there for 2 days and still didn’t see everything. The house is stocked with everything you need. The Trip of a Lifetime
Please believe me that the pictures do not do this property justice! The property is perfect for all occasions. The amenities, decorations and attention to details are incredible. Although we weren’t able to enjoy the outside areas due to the bitter cold and heavy snowfall, the inside of the lodge is more than large enough keep everyone of all ages entertained. From the bar/game room to the large theatre room to the dream kitchen and all the seatings areas, everyone always had something to do and the space never felt small. Wonderful Stay!!
Our family just spent 4 amazing nights here! We loved everything about it. It is even more amazing than what you see in the photos. We took advantage of the hot tub, both outdoor fire pits, played pool, golf out front, the movie theater, the bar, etc. Kitchen was fully stocked. Every room was magically decorated for Christmas. Honestly words cannot express just how wonderful our week experience was. It was everything that we had hoped for and it was actually over the top.
