„Beautiful property! There are lots of amenities offered, but we weren’t aware that we were there during the “off season”. Be sure to check the seasonal dates. There’s an indoor pool & spa, and a good, but pricey restaurant open year around. We had a problem with the dishwasher & they sent a repairman quickly. We stayed in a 4 bed/bath condo & it was PLENTY room for our family of 7! Only complaint, there is no shuttle service from your unit to the main activity area. “

„Our cabin was as it was described. The property was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. We brought a crockpot and were surprised to see that one was actually provided. The beds were very comfortable. The location seems remote but it's only a 20 minute drive to Boone primarily due to the long, climbing road. The road going to the cabin has a few potholes but was easy to navigate in the daylight. The stream behind the cabin was a nice addition. It was a very peaceful and comfortable ...

We didn't bring our dog on this trip, but the house is also geared towards a comfortable stay for your dog, so next time, I plan to bring ours. I will definitely be back.“

„This cabin is so unique and charming! We enjoyed listening to the rain on the tin roof swaying on the screened in porch swing. The fire from the gas logs and the comfortable couches provided a perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of the day. The location to hiking trails, good restaurants and snow tubing couldn’t be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our mountain getaway!“

I had higher expectations...

"I had slightly higher expectations before arriving at the hotel. The check-in staff were fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of that Southern hospitality. When we got to our room, we noticed a lot of noise from the road, so we went back down to request a room change, which they handled without any issues—this was fantastic. The room itself was quite nice, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was a bit small but functional. I also want to highlight the number and quality of the towels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the breakfast much. It was impossible to avoid single-use plastic, which, as Europeans, we find difficult due to the amount of waste it generates. The dining area also felt a bit drab and uninviting. Another downside was the housekeeping. Despite requesting, confirming, and leaving the sign on the door for daily cleaning, we returned one evening to find that no one had come to clean the room, which was disappointing."
