„It was so clean and tidy. I gave the 3 stars to area around property because it's still under construction, so it does look a little messy outside. They're clearly working on it. The cabins are close but situated so it feels very private. Wonderful little covered porch facing the creek. The photos don't do it justice. If you need to decompress, I highly recommend. “

„We very much enjoyed our stay at this exceptionally restored log cabin. The kids loved splashing in the creek and smores over the fire. We watched the summer afternoon rains storms from the front porch while the kids giggled dancing in the rain. Would come again!!“

„Satisfied with the house and amenities, other than the kitchen area ,specifically the range/stove top being greasy and in need of a good overall cleaning. The cleaning crew appears in need of being followed up especially with the cleaning charges . The yard needs some tidying up and the back of the house / porch needs exterior cleaning..“

„DeHart Cabin was perfect for our stay. We made a last minute decision to take a motorcycle ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and wanted to stay close. Lucky us this gem was available. We trailered the motorcycle and were able to also bring Piper (our Labrador retriever). The driveway was a little sketchy on the motorcycle but doable for the experienced rider. „Deer Runs is a lovely cabin surrounded by forest. The tall hard wood trees fill the air with the best smell. I did not want to leave. I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the best sleep on a most wonderful bed. The great window by table was mesmerizing. There was so much to see. And, I love the sound of water. It was everywhere . I took my hiking sticks and this 63 year old went down the trail to the river. Steep but, I did it fine. This place seems magical. “

„We stayed four nights. The log home is even nicer than the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Suzy the host was so hospitable, she had coffee stuff and and snacks available in the home for guests. Very peaceful setting, so easy to relax in. The front porch and rear patio were awesome to have our coffee on. We would definetely go back. We love history and antiques so this was a perfect place for us to stay.“
