„Perfect getaway. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The house was completely stocked and clean. The river is a few steps out the door. It rained the entire time so we didnt fish much. The host susan went above and beyond. If you're looking to be off grid this is the place for you. We are already planning our next trip(we plan to stay a lot longer next time. “

„We stayed here while in town for a wedding. We had 13 adults and one child. This is such a neat old house with so many cool features. We had a fun time exploring the house and admiring the unique features like the Jefferson doors to the porches, the old coal dump, and all the super cool antiques in the home. „It was the perfect place for our family to gather for a few days. We all live in different states and enjoyed the chance to come together. The bedroom and bathroom accommodations fit us perfectly. We were able to take advantage of the outdoor fire pits. Hiked in the woods and enjoyed playing many games. Wendy was very responsive to our questions and decorated with a lovely autumn feel. „This was our second stay at this location and, if possible, it was even better than our first. There are no words to describe the view in the fall and there was abundance of parking and lawn space. The view from the fire pit beats any television show - we literally just enjoyed ourselves outside for hours. Inside, the place is immaculate and comfortable, with plenty of blankets and linens.“

„This property was comfortable with lots of little extras to make the stay pleasant. The location was a quick drive to Chambersburg to grab some groceries/carry out or to walk the rail trail. Or you can drive a little further to Shippensburg or Caledonia. The kitchen was well equipped, the oven and stove worked well, and we found some basics in the pantry...plus some extras like a great pancake mix! We found the two larger beds to be comfortable and there are lots of blankets to choose from to ...
