Overall, the place was nice, but there were a couple things that keep me from giving 5 stars:
- Upon arriving, we noticed the garbage in the kitchen and in the bathrooms had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The kitchen garbage was completely full (and it's not a small trash can).
- There were dirty towels in the hamper in the upstairs bathroom. There were also only 4 clean towels left for us to use for showering and washing hands.
- Both bathrooms had no or little toilet paper still on the roll. We did find one last roll in the downstairs bathroom.
- There was food left in the fridge & freezer from previous guests which took up a LOT of space. We didn't have much to put in the fridge, but still had a hard time fitting what we had in the fridge.
- Lack of information (pamphlet, folder, etc.) about the place we were staying and about the animals. I think a notebook or something like a Newsletter providing information about the farm, local area, etc., would be very helpful. We LOVED Zena and would have kept her inside with us the whole time. It would be nice to know when/if she needed to be outside vs. inside.
Overall, it was a nice place with A LOT of potential. I think with some additions/improvements (info about the house/farm/location, better cleaning crew) this will be a wonderful area for families to visit (especially those with kids who love farm animals!).
