Originally booked Mountain View for my Mother’s 70th Birthday gathering. Perfect for this kind of get together as spacious downstairs and a brilliant kitchen and lounge to host a party. Having searched online for days, not many properties had this, as well as a vast garden and the added bonus of a hot tub.
When it came to it, my mother was too unwell to celebrate her birthday, but I decided to have a family long weekend anyway and took my Husband and four boys, ranging in age from 6 to 16 years.
Attention to detail in every room was superb. Everything catered for in the kitchen so we were able to cook a big family roast dinner, have a curry evening and not once were we searching for a utensil or pan which we couldn’t find!
There was kindling, firefighters and wood for the wood burner in the lounge, so our supply stayed in the car! The house was heated which made it for me, as having being brought up in Anglesey, I know how cold North Wales can get! Children remained lovely and warm which was fantastic after a very cold walk down Snowdon.
The hot tub was heated to the correct temperature on our arrival, so it was used in the evening looking at the stunning night sky and marvelling at the stars. The garden was huge and not overlooked in any way (apart from a few sheep in the next door field) so my four energetic boys loved running round and playing football. Leading on from this, the washing machine came in handy for muddy clothes!
The bedrooms were all absolutely beautiful with comfortable mattresses on the beds and perfect space to hang clothes, as well as having their own bathrooms. All decorated in grey and white with carefully chosen artwork here and there.
My favourite room in the house was the bathroom upstairs with the stunning views, gorgeous decor and a free standing old fashioned bath. Bubble bath and a glass of fizz topped it off!
A perfect weekend spent in a truly stunning house which none of us wanted to leave!
