Cozy Cabin in the heart of the Big Woods

Firedog is the perfect getaway cabin located in the heart of the North Central Pennsylvania Woods. It is located on 3 wooded acres near Hyner View, Grand Canyon of PA and Pine Creek. Access to the rails to trails system, ATV trails and hundreds of miles of hiking trails are all only a short distance away. Firedog has everything you need for your vacation. The living room has a wood burning stove with a stone backdrop that soars from the floor to the top of the cathedral ceiling. Firedog is a 2 story cabin with a 1st floor bedroom and 2 additional bedrooms and a loft upstairs that will accommodate up to 10 people. There are 2 full bathrooms with one on each floor. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all pots/pans, dishes and utensils you will need. There is a screened in porch and deck off the back of the cabin along with a fire pit and gas grill for your outdoor entertaining. Satellite TV and Wifi are available at the cabin. There are a washer and dryer on-site. Firewood is supplied for both campfires and the wood stove during your stay. So, whether you are planning a family outing, hunting/fishing or hiking trip or just want to get away from it all, Firedog Cabin will provide the quality experience you are looking for.

Girls Romantasy Novel Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful weekend! The goal was to snuggle in a cozy environment, snack on charcuterie and wine while reading romance/fantasy novels as a break from being moms. We were able to achieve that with this cozy cabin! There were extremely comfortable leather armchairs and sofa in front of a wood burning stove. Lots of lighting, and the beds were comfortable! Will definitely be looking to rebook next fall!

Perfect for a Biking Stay

Wonderful stay in the PA wilds!
We had a great stay at the Firedog cabin! The cabin is even nicer than the photos suggest and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, the house was super clean and comfy, and the yard/surrounding neighborhood was just glorious! We would definitely like to stay again. From beginning to end, communication with Tim was fabulous.

A Great Stay!
Quiet place with all that you need for some time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Has all the amenities you need. We took advantage of the outside grill and all that the kitchen had to offer. Very clean. Perfect for biking on the Pine Creek Trail which is a short drive away. Would recommend this gem!

The cabin is a cute getaway and reasonable location for traveling around to enjoy the changing season. The kitchen allowed us to make our own meals and large dining table to gather around. We had a flock of turkey making regular visits. Some deer and a variety of birds entertained us as well. The wood stove made the evenings relaxing.

Great rural getaway
This was our second time renting the property for the annual Keystone Gravel weekend. There is one bedroom on the first floor and 3 (including loft area) on the second. The bunk space would work well for older children. Bring your own linens for bunk beds, but all other beds are dressed. Also, bring your own towels. The cabin is well equipped, easy to access, and has a very large yard. Be sure to bring your groceries there are no stores nearby. There is, however, a great restaurant (Mountain Top Provisions) is just 2 miles up the road. Recommend to anyone looking for a cabin getaway in the area.

Second Times a Charm
This is our second stay at this property and we love it. Plenty of room for everyone, close enough to Loch Haven or Jersey Shore to make quick trips into town. Nice and quiet, except for the turkeys that decided to brag about it not being thanksgiving. Property is as listed and I had to reach out to the owner with a questions once and he responded within minutes. We will be back.
