This quiet, stylish 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom mews house is in an amazing location in South Kensington, London, just 2 minutes' walk from Gloucester Road station and very close to most of London’s main museums – the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum - and within walking distance of Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. London’s main sights – Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, London’s theatres, the Tower of London and much more - are easily accessed quickly and directly from Gloucester Road tube station. Cromwell Road leading to Harrod’s in Knightsbridge is moments away. With many well-known hotels in the area, this is a great base for visiting central London's sights, museums, shops and theatres. There is a wide range of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets within 2 minutes’ walk.

Your mews house is located in the best part of South Kensington - one of the mostresidential areas of central London and very handy for getting around central London from Gloucester Road station, just 2 minutes' walk away.

There is a Waitrose supermarket 2 minutes’ walk away in the small shopping mall by Gloucester Road station open from 7.30 a.m. up to 10.00 p.m. Gloucester Road has restaurants and coffee shops of many major brands, including less than 1 minute from the mews house. Also, on Gloucester Road and just 1-minute from the mews house, you can find The Hereford Arms – a very atmospheric pub.

Your house is located in quiet Georgian mews. The entrance to the house takes you right into the Lounge, dining area and open-plan kitchen. The good-sized Lounge has a comfortable 3 seat sofa and armchair whilst there is seating for 5 in bench style around the dining table as well as 3 bar stools at the breakfast bar. The entire apartment is furnished in a homely, welcoming style with many well-stocked bookshelves, a Sony Smart TV, Freeview channels and Free WiFi.

The substantial dining table enables very comfortable and potentially extensive family meals. The well-equipped kitchen with Miele appliances has a 4-ring electric hob, built-in oven, built-in microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, toaster and kettle. A range of saucepans are provided along with all of the cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glass you may need for your stay.

All of the bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms are located up the internal staircase, which has a substantial skylight above, making it very bright and cheerful. The master bedroom has a comfortable Double Bed and substantial built-in wardrobes and looks out over the quaint mews in front of the house. The Master Bedroom and the Second Bedroom are characterised by exposed beams in the ceiling. The en suite bathroom has bath tub with shower over, wash hand basin and WC and can also be accessed from the landing.

The second bedroom also has a skylight over and is provided with a comfortable Double bed and good built-in wardrobe space. The en suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC.

The beds have Egyptian Cotton Sheets and high-quality towels are provided with a full set for each guest in your party. Housekeeping is included on a weekly basis but can be provided more frequently for a small supplement.

Between Cromwell Road, Kensington Gardens and High Street Kensington, you will enjoy walking around the immediate area of your apartment, where the garden squares, range of individual shops, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets and more gives this part of South Kensington its own flavour. Walk a little further along Stanhope Gardens and Harrington Road to the area around South Kensington station and you will find yourself truly spoilt for choice from the wide range of restaurants close by in South Kensington, with restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines to suit a wide range of budgets.

Convenient little hideaway
Really nice place conveniently located. Well managed and well maintained. Check in and out was super easy. Only areas to mention is the place needs more fans when London is having a hot spell as the bedrooms can be quite stuffy. Also a better equipped kitchen with more utensils would have been good.

Perfect house for a family trip to London
Our family of 3 (2 adults & 1 teenager) enjoyed our second stay at the Stanhope Mews house. Close to the tube, coffee shops & several grocery stores, the location can’t be beat. We loved being able to relax in a cozy home in the evenings & cook dinner in the well appointed kitchen, occasionally. The house is well laid out with two en-suite bedrooms & a comfortable living space. We enjoyed walking to the museums of South Kensington & exploring the city. We can’t wait to book our third stay!

Great Apartment
My husband and I took our adult son to London. Since we are three adults we wanted more than a tiny hotel room. This place worked perfectly - two bedrooms with two full bathrooms. Of course they are small, however, everyone had privacy and everything worked well. The beds are comfortable. There is a full kitchen and washing machine although we only used the fridge. Plenty of space to eat and sit. Two comments, the tub/shower in one bathroom is pretty tricky to get in and out of. If you have any kind of mobility issue you would have issues with the stairs and that tub. Also, while the couch is lovely, it is very well loved, meaning you sink pretty far into it. However, the couch and tv were great for the end of the day. Owner was helpful and answered all our questions, arranged a ride to the airport and we got a mid week cleaning. Location was great - a few pubs right near the place and the train station truly is only a few minutes up the block. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful week in London
I stayed in this Mews house with my daughter and her wife. It was steps to the Gloucester station, steps to Waitrose and Tesco, and surrounded by places to eat. The house had two bedrooms/2 bathrooms, and a functional kitchen. It was perfect. South Kensington is the PERFECT place to stay and see London. I would highly, highly recommend this place to stay.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this flat is located in a wonderful area of London. The mews is relatively quiet, and there’s a gentleman there who lovingly takes care of the gardens. Everything you need is nearby (the Tube, taxis, a Boots, a Waitrose, restaurants, coffee shops, a hardware store, pubs…). The flat was clean and well-maintained, thoughtfully furnished, and the beds were comfortable. Kudos to the owner (Robert) and the property manager (Bob), who were quick to respond to any queries or issues. It was a joy to stay there.

Picture perfect mews house
My husband, toddler and I traveled to London for a family vacation and could not have been more excited about the location, charm, or experience we had in this mews house. Located right in the heart of South Kensington, we had delicious pub dinners, coffee shops, a grocery store, and the tube just a short walk away, but the beauty of the house was the quiet and picturesque street it’s located on, just off the main road. After a few days, we truly felt like we lived there and hope to return one day. Amazing property
The location is absolutely superb. Its nearby underground stop will get you all over London really fast. The street itself is straight out of a painting, and very quiet for when you’re done for the day. Lots of restaurants, groceries, and even fast food nearby. Property management was very good and communicative. This place is a real gem!

A delightful stay
We had a delightful stay at the Stanhope Mews South flat. It is on a short street of about 11 other Mews flats, and the flowers and greenery along that street are beautiful and well maintained. It is bright, clean, well appointed, with modern appliances. For public transportation It is only about a three minute walk from Gloucester Road Station where the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines run. Bus stops are nearby and taxis are easily available. On the way to the station are a Cafe Nero coffee shop, Gails bakery, Tesco express and Paul’s bakery and next to the station is Waitrose partners. The Hereford Arms pub is 1 minute away. For left luggage there’s a place called Maxwell’s which is again on the way to the tube station. A large Sainsbury’s supermarket is about 10 minutes away. Having all these amenities so close to the flat, makes it a much easier and enjoyable time in it. The owner understands very well what good hospitality means. When we next come back to London, we will definitely try to stay in this flat.

We had a wonderful stay at Robert’s house. The location in south ken & charm of the mews was amazing. It was the perfect base for our family of three to explore the city, with the tube just a 3 minute walk away! The space was clean & well appointed. The communication with staff was easy & the weekly cleaning service was a very nice amenity. We cannot recommend this property more highly & cannot wait to stay here again on our next London visit.

A treasure
This property and its manager exceed expectations. All is exceedingly clean, well-organized, and comfortable. If you have a question, the manager is happy to help. The kitchen is equipped for cooking a full meal and the dishwasher makes cleanup easy. We used the washing machine/dryer several times and were pleased with the results. The beds were comfortable and the showers temperature sensitive. If you factor in the convenience of a location steps from the tube, grocery stores and restaurants, this quiet mews house is a treasure.

Our family of 4 stayed here during our spring break. The property is located in a great location, we especially loved how walkable the neighborhood is to the restaurants, pubs & museums. The property is also a very short walk to grocery store and tube station, which made it quite easy for us to pick up eggs & bacon before starting off on our daily adventures.

Location, Location, Location!
This property is amazing & just as photos show, but the best part is the location which cannot be beat! It is 3 minutes (if that) from the Tube (most of our destinations didn’t even require a line change), Waitrose (grocery), Boots (pharmacy), pubs, bus stop & more! Also easy walking distance to Harrods, museums (Natural History, V&A) & Hyde Park. The house is on a very quiet dead end street & easily accommodated 4 of us (3 adults & 1 teen). Communication was fantastic & someone was there to meet us when we arrived! Cannot wait to return!

Located in South Kensington, you’re unlikely to find a safer, quieter neighborhood. The small, cobblestone street is flora-lined to bring a bit of English garden to this tiny dead-end road. Turning off the busy street onto the quaint mews lane is a delight. Every time. You’re only about 1000ft from the Gloucester tube stop, groceries, currency exchange, post office, restaurants, and breathtaking architecture. The Natural History Museum & Victoria and Albert Museum are a half-mile walk. What you won’t find? A disappointing rental. I’m admittedly on the clean side. Yet, every time a coin fell behind a bureau or we moved a piece of furniture, we found the same thing: spotlessness. My 82yo mom had two knee surgeries, yet found the stairs easily navigable. The kitchen is well equipped with a convection stove top, new ovens and all you’ll need to make and enjoy meals. The bedrooms have large closets and bureaus. The mattresses are firm with ample, new pillows, nice sheets and a thick, comforting comforter—akin to hotel linens. The living room is comfortable with its deep-seated velour couch. The TV is lovely for local viewing or Netflix. This owner has taken care to exhibit items on the plentiful shelves so that you feel as if you are in a home, but not someone else’s home. The touches are warming, elegant and simple. Everything we wanted. The owner is professional, responsive and kind. He wants you to enjoy your stay. Every inch of this home has the same intention: enjoyment.

Fantastic location and nice little house
It's a two-bedroom little condo on a cute street. The bottom floor has a decent-sized kitchen, an eating area, and a sitting area. Upstairs are two bedrooms. The beds aren't big but they were fine for us (family with two kids who could share a bed). The location is very easy - it's a two-minute walk to the Gloucester Road tube station, which is on the Picadilly Line. It was super easy to get everywhere we needed to go in central London, as well as to the airport. There are also lots of restaurants within a few minute walk, and a coffee place right around the corner. There is laundry but the machine is small and is a combined washer-dryer, so it takes a while. Plan ahead! Communication was overall great, the only minor hiccup was that the cleaners weren't done when we arrived (at around 4 pm). It only took them 15 minutes to wrap up so not a big deal, and they said it had been a busy season because of the holidays. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend.

Wonderful apartment & area!
Fantastic property. Great communication with host, very easy check-in. First level has very roomy kitchen, nice size dining table, and very comfy sofa. Upstairs are two bedrooms each with their own bath. One has shower the other has tub/shower combo. Skylight over stairwell floods the apartment with natural light. Two minute walk to Gloucester station, Waitrose, market, and many other restaurants and pubs. Can’t ask for a better location.
