Roomy home, great location
This house was a great fit for our two families (9 people total)! The location is less than 15 minutes from Universal Studios and about 45 minutes from the Santa Monica Pier.The house itself offered plenty of space and the three bathrooms were a lifesaver for our large group. We appreciated how clean everything was upon arrival. Since we were visiting in February, we paid to have the pool heated, which was a great decision. The water was nice and warm, perfect for swimming. We had to skim out some floating debris ourselves (leaves and fruit), and there was also some debris at the bottom. I contacted the owner about the pool vacuum not working, and she responded very quickly and sent someone out to look at it right away. While it wasn't fixed during our stay, I appreciated how responsive she was.The listing does mention minimal amenities. Definitely pack extra toilet paper (they provide a couple of 1-ply rolls per bathroom), paper towels for wiping down counters and spills, and coffee pods if you plan on using the Keurig. This isn't a complaint, just something to be aware of and plan for.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. My only slight frustration was having to do some pool maintenance ourselves. Perhaps that's standard for VRBOs with pools. If you're comfortable with the possibility of light pool cleaning, I would absolutely recommend this house. The location, space, and responsiveness of the owner make it a great option for a large family or group.
