Needs Attention
We were hoping for a five star review stay for the New Year per the vrbo ratings we read. Unfortunately, things in this vrbo are overly used and it was very dated. There were thoughtful things to make our stay convenient (such as laundry & kitchen supplies), however this vrbo doesn’t fit a five star rating as it is very tired as the pots, pans and utensils were very worn. There was a broken chair & luggage holder in the bedroom. There were things that made us feel less clean such as the couch smelled like an oil mechanic had slept on it, the tv was not cleared from the last pornographic views, there is poor construction on handy man projects, also older used bedding that needs to smell clean. There were critter and pest repellents plugged in the walls but we still saw spiders. If you are looking for a medium star place to stay in a convenient location, this is your house. Hope this helps future VRBO renters.

Great Location
We came for a graduation and the location was perfect for our needs. Lots of good restaurants within a 10-minute drive. I will say that the stairs are a bit steep and we were thankful that we did not try to get my spouse's grandmother up them.

Okay Stay
First of all the stay was ok because it served its purpose. However if you have an elderly person, 87 years old, like I did, and a toddler, 3 this may not be the greatest place. The main floor is at the top of the house. You would have to carry everything up some stairs. These stairs at first glance do not look safe. You walk into what seems like a basement with two beds. Entering the door downstairs needs to be a closet mat or carpet. I can’t tell you how many times I have almost fallen entering the door. It was raining when we were there. The leaves which covered that entrance were everywhere and they seemed to come in each time I opened the door. I did have to contact someone because when we got there I noticed a mirror on the floor. When I examined further I was pretty sure it wasn’t suppose to be there. They came and fixed it immediately when we left the house. So that’s good. The extra pillows and sheets that we were supposed to use were not kept tidy and neat they were literally thrown on the floor in the corner of the closet and they didn’t look clean. We did not use them. The cream cloth couch definitely needs to be cleaned. The feather pillows…real feathers, which is fine, did not agree with my son only because he has all types of allergies. Feathers would get everywhere if you sat there. The place didn’t seem to be as close as I thought according to the app to my brother’s house but we enjoyed or ride, while looking at all of the amazing houses and the river.

Close to downtown without city feel
We loved our stay here! Being on the river road was fun and it only took 5 to 10 minutes to get downtown. A huge plus was being able to travel the river road to get to downtown without having to get on a major highway!

My friends and I met up in Louisville for some girl time. The property was very convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. Check in was super easy and the host was very communicative. The only negative is that some of the property seemed a bit worn but everything seemed clean. It was a great choice for us!

Bourbon Tour Holiday
We travelled to Louisville to experience some of the Bourbon Distilleries and found this location to be very central and close to the city while feeling as if we were out in the country. It was very nice being close the river as well. We enjoyed the deck out back and the house had everything for us to feel comfortable. We would definitely return.

Perfect long weekend getaway
We spent a lovely long weekend at this cute place! Enough room for my husband and I and our 2 young adult children. Also, everything you could need to feel at home away from home. Owners were great at communication and anticipated any question. I loved the location and closeness to downtown. We loved the Derby Museum and quaint shops! Would love to stay here again and do some bourbon tours with just us parents.

Kentucky get away
My husband, several adult children and myself converged on Louisville for some bourbon and golf. The house was perfect for us. Plenty of space to relax after busy days of golf. Would definitely come back if we make it to Louisville again.

Awesome Getaway by the River!
This place is awesome! The place was exactly as described and shown in pictures from the listing (possibly better). It’s quiet despite being right off the main street of River Road. The recommendation of River House Restaurant was right on time as we arrived about 6pm and reservation was at 7pm. It’s 10 mins away and a great way to wind down after travel. We visited the local shop Haymarket for coffee and breakfast the next morning (need to add to their recommendation list). It’s also less than 10 mins away. Stay was nice and quiet with easy use of the patio or games to entertain. I will definitely book again!
