Gut: Personal & Service und Ausstattung
The location of the hotel was very convenient, and on-site parking was available at a reasonable rate. One oddity is that the hotel itself doesn’t have an ice machine—instead, you have to go through the connecting Fairfield Inn to access ice machines on floors 4, 5, or 6. The trek to find ice felt a bit like a maze, which was definitely a downside.
Cleanliness-wise, the hotel wasn’t what I’d call dirty, but it wasn’t up to a 5-star standard either. The carpet was tearing in spots, there were noticeable stains in the hallways, and the mats around the room’s wall art were torn—small things, but they added up.
Another downside was the limited access to stairs. With only two elevators for a 9-story building, being told the stairs were "exit only" (even just to go to breakfast on floor 2) was frustrating.
That said, the staff were great—friendly, responsive, and accommodating. When a fire alarm went off around 10 p.m., the general manager (I believe) and other staff handled the situation well, calmly directing guests and keeping everyone informed.
Overall, it was a decent stay. The experience didn’t quite justify the higher price tag for the weekend, and that likely influenced my rating. If the rate had been more in line with the quality, I might have reviewed it more favorably.
