„My husband and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the area, the beautiful view, the prime location for great places to eat and things to do, the short drive to Key West and Bahia Honda. The cottage was clean, the bed comfy and all was as described. Susan was quick in responding to any questions we had. We will stay here again, I’m sure. “

„Perfect location for us 23 miles to key west. Restaurants near by, pool, fishing pier. Can't wait to come back and do it all over again!“

„After reading the other reviews I packed my air mattresses… didn’t need them the beds were fine. The patio rail is fixed based on a previous post. Only 1 working TV but not a big deal. 2 built in ovens but neither works, not ideal for larger family to use a small toaster oven. The place was clean and you can’t beat the location. “

„Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus und die Einrichtung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber gut ausgestattet. Ein Schlafzimmer ohne Fenster zum öffnen, dafür der Pool gleich am Haus. Wir hatten ihn für uns alleine. Etwas abgelegen, dafür ruhig und erholsam. Gerne wieder…“

„We had a nice time at our stay. We stayed for 3 nights and it was close to key west and the docks were nice to fish off of. Place was clean and everything worked fine for us. “

The six of us fit comfortably in this Florida Keys getaway with the best sunrises around. *note* As we were driving out of the keys there was a major fire along the only highway out, Highway 1. The fire consumed over 26,000 acres of land and closed the highway down. The owner of this property not only told us that we could return for the night but she waved the fee. „The pictures in listing look good, the reality is old and really not clean. We do not recommend this place. We booked trough FeWo in Germany, and are ready to deliver them the pictures we have taken from this home. Just unacceptable, and very disappointing.“

„Lage war gut, direkt am Meer. Kajak war allerdings nicht auffindbar. Bei Ankunft, waren bereits andere Gäste in der Unterkunft. Vielleicht wäre Zugang mit Code sinnvoll. Überall lagen Haare, die Handtücher waren schmutzig und die Toilette nicht sauber. Wir haben die Gastgeberin direkt nach Ankunft kontaktiert, allerdings erst am nächsten Morgen eine Antwort ohne Entschuldigung erhalten, uns wurde lediglich angeboten, dass eine Reinigungskraft kommt. „Die Buchung, die Vorabkommunikation und der CheckIn sowie die Anmeldung waren tadellos. Leider hielt die Unterkunft nicht, was das Inserat versprochen hat. Lediglich die Schlafräume und das Badezimmer waren gut. Bequeme Betten und eine große Dusche mit gutem Wasserdruck. Der Rest war leider sehr abgewohnt bzw. unansehnlich (schmutzige Textiloberflächen an Wohnzimmermöbeln und Küchenstühlen, defekte Lampe, kaputter Küchenstuhl (somit nur 3 Stühle für 4 Personen), löchrige und fleckige Handtücher, ...

„My mom and I were absolutely amazed by the property, we loved everything and hope to come back again!“

„Definitely need to update the property. Day to day cleanliness was good but many burnt out light bulbs or mismatched bulbs. A coat of paint and updated furniture would help. House A has no view of the water and may have chosen a different place in the complex if i had known. Pool was well taken care of and lots of privacy by the home. Convenient to Key west and lots of good local restaurant choices. Beds were very comfortable. “

„These are great older cottages. Not luxurious, great for fishing, relaxing away from the bustle of Key West but a short drive to all the fun. Local restaurants are great Tonio's was definitely our favorite. Lobster and local fish. Skewered shimp with rice and great sauce. We had a relaxing time “

„Venture out is more of a retirement community than a family resort. The location is ideal and the house was well appointed “

„Loved it. Spotless clean unit, located on a super nice spacious quite property (rare in the Keys). Very nice pool. Would definitely come here again. One very minor downside: the kitchen was very spartanly equipped. No salt or sugar, have counted a total of three large spoons.“
