The lobster pot was perfect and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were a lot of flys in the house during our week there. Never did figure out where they came in the house, but they were bad and they did bite! Also a lot of spider webs that had not been knocked down in a while. „For us, the large, securely fenced yard made all the difference for our Jack Russell. Beautiful views of the bay from the porch, the living area, and the upstairs bed room. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable although the stairs are a little steep. Our host was quick to respond to any of our questions and the house is an easy drive to a well stocked IGA grocery store. I recommend bringing your passport and going to Campobello Island. See Liberty Point for some beautiful cliff views.“

The location is great with very easy parking, quick access to Lubec, Campobello, Quoddy Head, all of the Cobscook Shores locations (and other hiking spots), ...and Monica's Chocolates. The views are great from the large back deck or either of the sitting areas if the weather isn't conducive for sitting outside with your coffee in the morning. “

„We spent 4 nights at Birch Haven in July. It’s in a lovely, quiet, remote location just under 9 miles from Lubec. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, surrounded by woods.
