LA MACINA FARMHOUSE AND OLIVE OIL ESTATE is located on the hills of Lucca, 280 meters high in a dominant and panoramic position near the village of CICIANA among among a 5 ha private estate where EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is produced by the owners. The infinity pool (size 12 metres x 6.5 metres) has a breathtaking view over the town of Lucca.
LA MACINA FARMHOUSE AND OLIVE OIL ESTATE is located on the hills of Lucca in the village of CICIANA among among a 5 ha private estate where EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is produced by the owners. The rental property is made up of 3 stone houses which are all located around the pool and that are rented entirely to only 1 party per time, so privacy is never compromised.
This is an area of Tuscany that opens up endless exploring possibilities: medieval hilltop towns, some of Europe's most renowned vineyards and some of its most alluring sights and cities. Pisa, Florence and Siena are all under an hour away and within 10 to 15 minutes you can be in Lucca city centre inside the walls. A week of serious exploring combined with easy relaxation strikes an excellent balance. La Macina Farmhouse invites outdoor living: you are fabulously well set up with a poolside terrace for drinks and unforgettable evenings with your friends while enjoying the view of the town at your feet, or for creating a wonderful atmosphere in the evenings, sunset on cue and maybe some bruschetta and a glass of Chianti in hand. By the side of the main house there s a fabulous shady area with big reclining wooden chairs and an outdoor fully equipped kitchen with a big refrigerator, electric oven, stoves, dishwasher and BBQ + wood fired pizza oven. Around the front it s set up for al fresco dining with a stone table and chairs to sit 12 that call for long dinners and plenty of chatter deep into the balmy evenings. The INFINITY POOL with hydromassage Jacuzzi area (pool size it is 12 metres x 6.5 metres) is magnificent and has an amazing deck with 8 sunbeds and a view over the valley. Next to the pool there is a bathroom. The pool system uses no chlorine but salt, so the water is healthy and perfect for children or those who are allergic. Quality beach towels are provided for each guest. The interiors are very well equipped and full of charm and despite its farmhouse appeal it comes with the right appliances and facilities to make any cook at home. There are dishwashers, good quality espresso machines, kettles, toasters, overns and microwaves. Each of the three houses has a kitchen and dining room for cosy meals and double doors open conveniently onto the front terrace and pergola area where guests can enjoy a glass of wine or dine watching the sun go down and each of the three houses has a living room for private relaxation.
HOUSES CONFIGURATION (all houses have air conditioning):
The MAIN HOUSE has a small kitchen, a dining room to sit 10, a living room with fireplace, a full bathroom and a small laundry room with a washing machine on the ground floor. On the first floor it has 1 bedroom with a double bed (and with a sofa bed convertible into 2 twin beds to host 2 extra guests -7th and 8th guest for the extra price of 60 euros nightly each person to be confirmed at booking and to be paid upon arrival to the owner) and 1 bathroom with built shower. Outside there is a grand terrace with the table to seat all the guests at once and the BBQ and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen by the outdoor dining area.
The HAYLOFT is located just underneath the main house and it has a grand open space area with French windows overlooking the valley. The open space area has a living/dining area and a kitchen and a bedroom with a double bed, one bathroom with built shower, a laundry room with washer and dryer and a magnificent terrace with table overlooking the valley and the pool. The living room has a sofa bed convertible into a french bed that measures 140 cm x 200 cm to host 2 extra guests -9th and 10th guest for the extra price of 60 euros nightly each person to be confirmed at booking and to be paid upon arrival to the owner.
The COTTAGE is located just underneath the hayloft and it has a little kitchen, a living/dining area with a sofa bed (convertible into a queen size bed that measures 140 cm x 200 cm to host 2 extra guests -11th and 12th guest for the extra price of 60 euros nightly each person to be confirmed at booking and to be paid upon arrival to the owner and one bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with built shower attached to the bedroom.

Each house has a TV with international channels. The whole area (houses and pool) are provided with a very reliable high speed wifi connection. The owner lives in the same estate in a separate house. The pool is open year round, and it is totally private for the guests. Each saturday the pool is cleaned and the gardens are manicured by the owner so for safety reasons the pool and gardens will not be accessible to guests from 10 am to 3 pm (only on saturdays).

Two baby cribs for kids aged max 2 and one highchair are available upon request for free.

The house is advertised and prices for a maximum occupancy of 6 guests and do not include the use of sofa beds. Sofa beds use and/or extra guests for a maximum occupancy of 12 is possible upon confirmation at booking and payment of extra charge upon arrival directly to the owner. The use of sofa beds and extra guests are allowed only for guests of maximum age of 12.

A fully refundable security deposit against damages of 1000 euros (or in any other foreign currency) in cash it is requested by the owner at arrival and will be refunded at the end of the stay.

As per the italian laws, passport of each guests will be requested by the owner at arrival in order to proceed with the legal registration of guests at the police office. also collection of city stay tax will be requested by the owner as per the local laws.

The house is provided with special plugs suitable for charging electric cars (7,5 KW).

Pets are not allowed and not accepted in this property. It is strictly not possible to smoke in the property.

Approximately 3 km of paved but narrow road to reach the property, with the last 900 meters featuring three very tight hairpin turns where maneuvering is necessary.

Lovely settings with beautiful view
My family and I (6 adults and a toddler) stayed here for two weeks in late June. The location is stunning, as the photos show, and the outside spaces worked very well for us, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, chilling out by the pool, playing games etc. The pool is the most amazing I have ever seen! The three villas are all very nice inside - everything was clean, comfortable and worked well. The kitchens are well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and it's a very peaceful spot so we all slept well. The layout of the three villas is good for privacy as we all had our own space. The villa is beautiful and the views are stunning. Waking up everyday to the most beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere was perfect. Mrs Sonia was very accommodating to our needs also. The restaurant at the bottom of the villa is great! We will definitely come back!
