Ruhige, erholsame Farm im schönen New Forest National Park

Die Rushcroft Cottages bieten geschmackvolle, ruhige, helle und geräumige Unterkünfte in einer schönen Farmlandschaft.

Diese helle, geräumige, moderne umgebaute Scheune bietet Platz für 4 in 2 Schlafzimmern. Im Dorf Sway sind es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu zwei Pubs, einem Café, einem Hotelrestaurant, einem Bahnhof und lokalen Geschäften. Die Sway-Station hat eine gute Zugverbindung zu den lokalen Wald- / Küstendörfern, den größeren Städten Southampton und Bournemouth und sogar zur Isle of Wight Ferry.

Die Cottages sind auf unserem 20 Hektar großen Bauernhof, der auch einen kleinen saisonalen Campingplatz hat und wir züchten Englische Ziegen. Wir haben unsere eigenen Pferde und die Gäste sind willkommen, sie auch zu bringen (nach vorheriger Absprache mit dem Eigentümer). 5 Stufen zum Eingang. Alle im Erdgeschoss: Offenes Wohn- / Esszimmer / Küche mit Holzboden. 2 Schlafzimmer: 1 Doppelzimmer und 1 Zweibettzimmer. Duschraum mit Toilette. Elektrische Heizungen. Bettwäsche und Handtücher inkl. DVB-T-TV. Elektroherd. M / Welle. Hof und Möbel. Parken. Rauchen verboten.

Die Ferienhäuser 1 und 2 sind miteinander verbunden und eignen sich daher für Familien, die zusammen Urlaub machen möchten, aber auch ihren eigenen Platz und ihre Privatsphäre genießen möchten. Wir haben auch eine Lodge mit einem Schlafzimmer an das Bauernhaus, die 3 Personen.

Great base to explore area
The cottage was super! Very clean and tidy. It is a great location and easy to walk to Sway and the station. Ideal for couples or friends. I would suggest it is not the best for infants, as it is small and there is no secure garden space for them to run around/play. Directly in front of the cottage is the car park, and behind is a small paved courtyard.

Rushcroft is a lovely little cottage with ample space for a family of 4. The interior is lovely and the location in the New Forest is ideal to explore what it has to offer. The animals on site were an added bonus for our young children!

Lovely well equipped property in a fab location. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place. Everyone is very friendly. My only moan if you can call it that is that the signs directing you to the farm are too small, so we ended up going down the wrong drive.

Easily accessible, peaceful and quiet. Great place to bring your dog. Very comfortable. The property has all the facilities needed and the small town of Sway is within walking distance.

Great place to stay
We have just returned from staying at Rushcroft cottage. We had a lovely time, and loved being on the farm. The weather was incredible (in fact too hot for the dogs) but the cottage was lovely to come back to after a long/hot day. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay on the farm it was very clean and spacious ideal location for visiting friends and family and enjoyed seeing the goats and especially the one which chose to climb up the tree! Could of just done with that hedge a tad lower to watch the caravan and camping activity whilst we enjoyed our evening drink on the veranda. (some would enjoy the privacy but we obviously just like people watching) Parking very useful close to accommodation. Warden (Pauline) was very helpful and friendly also informative on local events and places to visit.

We had a fantastic 3 night break. The cottage was beautiful and clean,very spacious and had all amenities you needed. The cottage was also in a, great location with a train station 2 mins walk away and a pub serving lovely food also in the village a 5 minutes walk.

We enjoyed the quiet rural location. But there was still shop, pub and train station (with direct connection to London Waterloo!) in walking distance! Cottage was well equipped and 2 terraces (one in front and one back). So we always could sit in the sun.

A lovely cottage with everything needed for a great holiday fantastic location
We loved this property and if we revisit the New Forest we would stay here. It was very clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Comfortable bed, good kitchen/dining size and all the cooking equipment necessary. Nice washing machine. Recliner sofa was well used after a busy day. TV worked well and nice touch of game and some DVDs. The campsite is small and the tents far enough away not to disturb. Parking right in front of cottage, very convenient. The cottage is semi detached but despite 4 different sets of neighbours with children and dogs over our 11 night stay we never heard a peep so they were either very well sound proofed or we had the quietest families ever. Nice front 'veranda' with small table and couple of chairs catches the sun and allows you a view of the trees etc. but for more movement there is also a back yard, walled for privacy and although it's concrete they have added flower pots to make it pleasant. We appreciated the BBQ and shed too. Front veranda was big enough to secure our bikes too. Location is excellent, we wanted to use bicycles and Sway is about 10 miles from just about everywhere in the New Forest apart from Brockenhurst and Burley which are nearer. There is a small climb from the site but you get used to it and if you can't do it, don't try the rest of the forest! Out the back of the farm is a road only used by 3 houses, which then meets the forest trails within 200 yards so very good for walking and biking. Lynn was pleasant and friendly and although we didn't really need anything from her you felt you could ask.

A lovely,clean,comfortable property in a wonderful location.
The property was clean, the bathroom i felt was not decoratively complete, there were a few bits that needed finishing off. No issues with any fixtures and fittings they were all in working order. As far as layout and ammenities go all were accurate and the kitchen has all the things you need. The location is great to get out and visit all the places around the New Forest and the fact that the New Forest itself is within walking distance so it meant one day we just went off walking and could leave the car behind. I would definately reccomend to friends and family and we would visit again. We visited Sammy Millers motorcycle museum and it is well worth the money, my husband is more the biker but i also found it very interesting. The cafe on site is great to. The fort at Milford is interesting, we walked along the spit so hard going but worth it, think there is a ferry too. We mainly eat out in the villages we visited each day but the food at the Hare and Houds was good too. Also a great fish & chip shop in Milford On Sea ! Plenty of small supermarket shops in the villages for the basics and farm shops around for local produce. Only a couple of very small negatives. It would have been nice to have a king size duvet on the double bed and the leaflets in the attractions folder kept up to date as some were a few years old.

Absolutely ideal....
We had a fantastic stay at Sway; located within comfortable reach of the New Forest and a great base for our dog walking/pub lunch mission. The cottage/lodge sits in nice green space off the main road and within a gentle walk of a few nice pubs and restaurants The accommodation is very well thought out and contains all the facilities a couple/small family would need for a short break or even something a bit longer - we were limited in some of the local hostelries by having our Labrador with us and a muddy dog and filthy walking boots need a bit of care when arriving back home - the interiors is too nice to spoil! There were no complaints about the state of the lodge - clean, tidy and nicely appointed. The only minor downside was lack of Wi Fi (or maybe we just didn't look hard enough for it) and mobile telephone signal is a bit patchy - just like everywhere in the area so hardly a complaint. I left a couple of suggestions as to how the fifth star could be justified but to be honest it's really a 4.5 star place for the price and expectation but as it's either 4 or 5 with no .5 option here, and because nothing is perfect, I reluctantly deduct that one star - maybe harsh..... We will definitely look to go back next year.
