Wunderschönes Seegrundstück, das seit 4 Generationen in unserem Familienbesitz ist. Das Haus hat ein großes großes Zimmer mit einem Fernseher und einem Panoramafenster mit Blick auf den See. 3 Schlafzimmer und eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Große Terrasse zum Grillen und Genießen der Aussicht. Feuerstelle unten am See. 2 Kanus und 3 Kajaks (eines davon ist ein Doppelzimmer) zur Erkundung des Sees. Perfekter langsamer Hang am Strandrand für kleine Kinder. Perfektes Zuhause für einen Familienurlaub, Wiedersehen oder Spaß mit Freunden. Wir sind 2 Minuten vom Golfplatz, dem öffentlichen Bootsanleger und dem berühmten Lakewood Theater entfernt. Auch wenn Ihre Zeit im Camp abgelegen und friedlich ist, sind Sie nur 5-10 Autominuten von Dunkin Dounuts, Walmart und Hanna-Fords entfernt. Viele tolle Städte, Wanderungen und Seen zu besuchen. Wir sind ca. 2 Stunden von Bar Harbor entfernt, also eine großartige Option für einen Tagesausflug. Besuchen Sie unbedingt die Bankery Bakery in der Stadt Skowhegan, um frisches Gebäck zu erhalten! Perfect Getaway
My partner and I had such a lovely time at this home. The house interior is beautiful and spacious. The couch is so comfy! The views were amazing. It rained the whole weekend, and we weren't even bothered as the home itself was so nice to spend time in. I highly recommend sipping coffee and looking out over the lake to get those relaxing vacation vibes started. The kitchen was the most well stocked one I've experienced, it had everything we needed to cook. Host was quickly responsive, and their departure instructions were simple to follow, and completely reasonable. 100 percent would stay again.

The house was very nice, well spread out. The lake though, absolutely gorgeous! The water was so clean, we heard the loons, and saw bald eagles. The town was not far away so if needed to run to store it was great. Great vacation!

A vacation in Paradise!
Everything was just wonderful. The premises have everything (I mean EVERYTHING!) a family would need for this magical place. We and our grandchildren and two daughters had the best time. My one granddaughter (5 years old) woke up Monday morning and told her mother “we have to come back here again mommy. We had so much fun.” The place is extremely comfortable as there is plenty of air conditioning for each room for those warm evenings. Games for the children, the fire pit with sticks provided for s’mores. The gas grill for rib eye steaks, oh my!A ride in a canoe! Giffords ice cream, along with miniature golf. My daughters went there when they were young girls too. What fun was had. Memories were made that will never be forgotten. We will most definitely return in the future. Hopefully for longer next time.

Chaplin-Boyd Vacation 2023
This was one of the most relaxing properties I've ever had the pleasure of staying. Very rustic. Great location. The hosts were very responsive to any needs and questions. I would definitely recommend a floating device for the lake. We had one that fit 6 and it was so fun to float on the lake all day. We fished and kayaked. The boathouse had remnants of wild life so it could have been cleaned out a little better and the hammock was really dirty but otherwise I highly recommend staying here if you want to relax with a beautiful view all day.

Great
It is a beautiful lake setting with a great beach area. My kids and grandkids swam and Kayaked everyday the weather permitted. Water is not deep for a long way out, so no worries about the smaller kids getting in over their head. A couple of the kids did a lot of fishing and great success with sunfish, yellow perch and really nice bass. Cabin is spacious and great deck.

Good house, needs more maintenance during the season
The house itself is beautiful, great location, and perfect for a larger group of adults and children. My family stayed here for my brother's wedding, and we recognize that we were staying in the house at the end of the season. But it's clear that the property isn't necessarily examined closely and maintained during the season. Maggots were crawling out of the woodstove, likely due to some animal in the chimney. We completely ran out of propane for the hot water heaters. And we found a heavy wooden door, which was not screwed in with proper screws to support its weight, had gone through a lot of use and was loose on its hinges, and it ended up falling on my mom's foot during our stay. The owners were quick to respond to these issues when we brought them up, but it would be nice if the owners checked in on maintaining the house during the season so those staying in the fall don't have to deal with these issues. Overall though, we enjoyed the house.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. It is a beautiful place, very large to accommodate many people and has a lovely beach. The general cleanliness of the cabin was great. They had made a lot of improvements since the last time we were there including many in the kitchen. They have everything you could possibly need for having a great vacation. However in the bedroom off the kitchen there was a strong smell of mildew because of a roof leak. There were also many many spiders in the cabin and one of us got spider bites in the night. I let the property owner know about those two issues and I know they are working hard to remedy them. They are very responsive. However, for those of us who stayed in that bedroom our clothing and even our suitcases still smelled like mildew when we got home. I wouldn’t recommend sleeping in that bedroom until the problem is solved as I don’t think it’s healthy. If you are sensitive to mold and mildew I would check with the property owner prior to renting. Also, even though there is Wi-Fi at the cabin most of the time we could not get Internet service and certainly not of any speed/bandwidth. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to stay and we will certainly return once the above mentioned issues are taken care of. Super peaceful almost at the end of the road, you can hear the loons calling from the lake. Kayaks and canoes are amazing. Great fire pit. Fully stocked kitchen. Tons and tons of seating and tables to eat. The screen porch and deck are amazing. Really nice mattresses and bedding. Tons of big fluffy towels. Really a great place!

Great for families with little kiddos
We spent a week at this charming lakefront cottage in Madison and it was especially suited for our 3-generation family (including 5 grandkids under 3). Inside, there was plenty of room to spread out to play, talk or watch a movie. With some of the babies up frequently at night, it was nice to have the two separate bedroom wings. The very large deck overlooking the lawn and beachfront was fabulous for relaxing, cooking and eating together. The toddlers loved the sandy beach and we adults appreciated the shallow entry for them to play in the clean, clear water. Oh yes, the washer and dryer were handy too! The setting is certainly not remote, but it felt private and peaceful, and the lake was beautiful. We loved the old Maine camp charm of the place and hope to come back someday!

Another great experience!
My family and I absolutely love this rustic lake house! This was our third stay and we have booked again for next summer. It offers so many amenities and opportunities to explore the area. It is so comfortable and spacious with many cozy nooks to enjoy for movie or game night. A recent kitchen remodel brought added ease of use for food prep. We also appreciate the privacy afforded by the surrounding trees. There is ample room outside for pickle ball ( in and out of the water) and other outdoor games. My favorite part is the sandy shoreline with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. It is always sad when we have to pack up and leave. Thank you so much for the lovely experience again this year! Joy S

A great place for some quiet relaxation on the water
Beth's Lake house in Madison is very nice. The property was clean and well kept, and had a nice rustic cabin feel while still being comfortable. The lake is a great place to relax, whether that be kayaking or wading in the shallows. It can be a bit crowded at times with a large group, but there's adequate bedding for plenty of guests. Our only trouble was the AC was merely one window unit in a bedroom and a larger portable unit in the living room. We had them running the whole visit but it was unable to keep up with the summer heat during the day and into the evening.

The location was great, the house was larger than I thought it would be. Really nice size rooms, and the lake was great. Lots of supplies and equipment for the lake. The house could have been cleaner. We did find that not up to par. Looks like the refrigerator is on it's way out.

Exceeded Expectations!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time away at this beautiful lake home! The beach is sandy, the lake clear and clean. We enjoyed watching the wildlife as they scattered or swam by. We also were delighted with what seemed to be the morning and night routine of schools of fish jumping up out of the water! We enjoyed fishing, tubing, and kayaking in this peaceful lake. The lawn facing the lake is large enough to have several lawn games going at once, and we enjoyed playing outside with such an incredible view! The large deck was just perfect for our multi-generational retreat. Plenty of places to sit, visit, and enjoy this amazing view. Our favorite indoor space was a large sunroom with two ceiling fans that kept things cool. They managed to attractively fit in several quaint visiting spots throughout this home. The style of the entrances through much of the house was also delightful with curved arches, and halls that meandered from one end of this incredible home to the next. It felt as though they had thought of everything with well stocked and labeled cabinets. We were two days into our stay when we scheduled for next year. We hope to make this an annual tradition, as it has certainly received our vote for favorite rental place!

The cabin exceeded expectation. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, comfortable sleeping arrangements, beautiful views. Loved the wood stove when the temperature dropped at night. Super friendly and responsive owners. We will definitely be back.
