Escape the canberra winter or the hustle and bustle of city living to our little piece of paradise at Malua Bay. Spacious 3 bedroom house that is dog friendly. Open plan living that provides a beautiful breeze throughout the living areas. Kitchen fully stocked with all the requirements for a great weekend away.

Walking distance to Malua Bay Beach and Garden Bay. 10 minute drive to Batemans Bay, Tomakin (dog friendly beach), Catalina Golf Course.

House provides ample parking for tenants and boat. Local boat ramp 500 metres away.

Cleaner provides a deep clean after each stay in accordance with COVID cleaning standards.

Backyard is large and fully fenced so no need to worry about your dogs escaping. And yes a SPA!!! 4/5 seater spa that is brand new!!! Enjoy a glass of champagne and music whilst the sun falls on a great day in the bay.

A lovely, spacious beach stay
This house has such a great location for walking to several beaches and a short drive to some great towns. We very much appreciated the spa for the winter warmer energy. Our dog was very welcomed and secure. The house is really spacious so a relaxing trip for us all.

Family break
The property was great and it felt like a home. The renovation are very good and I can’t wait to see what renovations will be next. Thoroughly enjoy our time and the children loved the spa. Would recommend to a family.

Nice family accommodation
This was a nice place for our family to stay. There was enough room for everyone to stretch out and have our own space. We loved that it was dog friendly, and our dog loved it too! We didn't have the best weather on our holiday, particularly for beach swimming, so the spa and gorgeous covered decks were a real lifesaver. The accommodation is tastefully decorated though somewhat eclectic. The owner stated he is renovating in-between bookings, this is a good thing as the kitchen is very basic and quite rundown. Both bathrooms could use renovating also, as everytime you flushed the toilet or turned on the taps, the plumbing system clanged loudly. The house sits on the main road so it was troublesome at times to depart the premises with the heavy flow of traffic. Overall though, this property had enough redeeming features that we would consider holidaying there again. The kids were happy, so we were happy too. 3.5 stars.

Relaxing in Malua Bay
We've just spent a lovely week in the house at Malua Bay. It was well set up for accommodating our group (5 adults & a dog), with a great mix of shared spaces & private spaces. We liked the fact that it felt homely & relaxing, rather than like a "magazine" home. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the morning sun & exploring the different beaches nearby. We hope to come back another time. Thank you for having us!

We had an amazing stay. Spa was lovely and clean and very relaxing. Our dog loved to explore the back yard and the beach was not far away . Nice having bedroom down stairs and two upstairs with living area. Would be perfect if you wanted to go with friends. We will definitely like to return to stay and see how the renovations go.

Vitamin C and doggo fun!
Just what the doctor ordered, a home away from home to get our Vitamin Sea and some fun with our doggos. We were all feeling a bit ragged and tired but felt rejuvenated after staying at this cute holiday home. VERY comfortable beds, thoughtful touches (eg breaky cereal and dog treats), and a comfortable couch. We loved our time at this Stayz! Thanks Rod!

Perfect escape for relax and recharge
My partner and I loved our stay here. The outdoor area has had a lot of thought and effort put into it, we used the spa every night under the stars and made use of the fire one night, there was even kindling and wood already chopped and ready to go which was lovely. Our dog enjoyed his stay in a nice back yard with lots to smell and it was so nice having him in the living area and balcony with us sipping coffee listening to the ocean close by. Location is fantastic so close to local beaches for dog walks, surfing and fishing.

Nice clean house with great back garden
We were a family of 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs and enjoyed our stay here for 6 nights. The back garden was great for the dogs and the jacuzzi was awesome! Property was clean and comfortable and would stay here again. Only negative comment was the stairs that are in need of repair but everything else was great.

My family and our dog had a great stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing in the yard. The local area is beautiful with lots of activities to do and dog friendly places to go. The only thing that was a bit of a concern is the outside stairs (only access to the main floor). They were a safety concern for small children and dogs. I would suggest updating these. Other than that, it was a perfect holiday and a lovely home away from home.

The outside landscaping was perfect it was obvious that a lot of work and thought went into the design. As for the inside, the cleanliness was non-existent, the downstair bedroom bedding had to be washed. One of the kitchen cupboard doors was coming apart, the oven was sticky on the outside and was so dirty on the inside that the grease had to wiped out before we could continue to use it, the smoke coming out of the oven was scary, at one point we thought that the oven was going to catch alight. The bedroom carpets were not dirty they were filthy and smelt of dog odour. No dusting had been done. The downstairs bedroom was only accessible via the outside staircase (not mentioned in description) to make matters worse the sliding door could not be closed therefore could not be locked, at 9.30pm at night we were hunting around for some kind of doweling to stick into to runner grove (not impressed) Fly screen mesh on upstairs door was just hanging, many windows were stuck and unable to be opened. The staircase leading up to the main part of the house was a little iffy. The owner was notified on the first day in relation to the downstairs door not being lockable and the 6 days we were there was attempt to rectify the problem, it was not safe and should have been attended to asap. Now on the positive side, the decor was lovely, the location was great, the cottage itself is adequate for 6 people as long as you don't mind sharing a bed as there are 3 bedrooms with 3 queen size beds. Malua Bay is just beautiful.

Despite explaining that the place was slowly being updated there were some key elements that needed urgent attention, kitchen tap falling off, loud knocking hot water system, ceiling fans unstable and loud, inability to lock external door to bedroom downstairs , towels threadbare and external stairs is rotten (only entrance). Outdoor area was fantastic but didn't outweigh the issues inside, wouldn't stay here again.

An experience one would prefer to forget
Would not recommend to anyone. Barbeque was filthy. When opening a blind upstairs, a huntsman spider dropped out. No access to upstairs area from the inside. Outside steps look badly in need of repair. Melted cheese still on the verandah fence Wire mesh totally loose on upstairs sliding door. Pretty much just hanging there. Couldn't get full address from owner till the day before for "security reasons". Host not the friendliest of people. With any phone call, it felt like we were a burden. No soap in the bathroom downstairs. No TV downstairs. No kitchen facilities downstairs. When trying to enter the downstairs area from the back you needed to battle with the sliding door to get it open. No way this property would be getting any repeat business from our group.
