I’m not sure I could give *enough* stars to our experience! Can I leave 10 stars? Steve came down and was incredibly helpful when I couldn’t access check-in information. He takes a lot of pride in his “retirement project” yurt. And he should. The yurt was absolute perfection, with everything you could need and more. Comfy beds, beautiful deck, toiletries and laundry detergent, snacks, everything we would have ever needed. My kids said this was their favorite hotel ever and the best night of their lives. Echoing everyone else, we only wish we had longer to stay here.

My 12 year-old daughter said, who wouldn’t give this place five stars? It is such a cool set-up. We were in town to see Mesa Verde National Park, and location was incredibly close. They really have thought of everything when it comes to things to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommended, and I will be passing this information on to others.

Best rental!

This has been our best rental to date! We spent 3 nights here and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The view and proximity to Mesa Verde cannot be beat. The inside of the yurt was clean and very well done. It has heat and AC which helps during the hot days and cool nights. The kitchen is stocked with all your cooking needs and “emergency” meals incase you haven’t made it to the store yet. We had two adults and two kids stay here and the sleeping arrangements worked well for us. Kids slept on the couch and the chair that transforms into a bed. We will be back someday!

Short but sweet stay!

Sadly we only had one night at this beautiful property as we visited Mesa Verde National Park. We ran into a little trouble finding it, but not for lack of effort on the part of the owner. It is quite literally across the street from the park entrance, very convenient! Owner was welcoming and made us feel right at home. Interior and exterior had so many creative details making it feel very comfortable and upscale. Coffee bar, popcorn for star gazing and all other amenities were great. The stargazing view is incredible due to such low light pollution. The only negative would be the comfort of the pull out chair beds. I would recommend only having a small child sleep there who doesn’t care as much about comfort. Quick drive into Cortez or Mancos for restaurants. Highly recommend this awesome place for a getaway!

Incredible with view of Mesa Verde!

The yurt was amazing and such a NEAT experience. Enjoyed stargazing on the back porch (and even from our bed!), the place is big and clean and the owner, Steve, thought of every detail. Also, the back porch boasts a beautiful view of the Mesa at Mesa verde National park! Highly recommend.

Our family of 6 loved this stay! So close to Mesa Verde but 1/2 a mile up a private driveway, you have a Mesa View while feeling a world away. We enjoyed every comfort in this beautifully outfitted yurt. Wonderful star gazing! And Steve is a host extraordinaire.

The yurt is perfect! The thought and special touches the hosts added to the place are difference makers. The best hosts we have ever rented from. :)

The fire and space to watch a movie on the projector we brought was the highlight of our family time.

Dream come true

Staying in this yurt was an absolute dream come true—something I’ve wanted for so long, and it was even better than I imagined! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed, especially being greeted by Steve himself—what a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. You can tell how much love he poured into building this yurt; it’s cozy, beautifully designed, and full of charm. It had everything we needed for a super comfy stay (even things we didn’t know we’d want until we saw them!). Steve takes the time to walk you through all the cool features and how to use everything—he truly thinks of it all. At night, we just sat outside, completely in awe under the most magical starry sky. The peaceful vibe was unreal, and waking up to the view of Mesa Verde from the deck? Unreal. The location is perfect—so close to the park, yet tucked away enough to feel like your own private getaway. Every single moment felt special and unforgettable. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave—thank you, Steve, for creating such a magical space!

Clean and cozy!

This property was in the perfect location, just outside of Mancos within minutes of the entrance of Mesa Verde. You can tell the host put a lot of thought into the design of the yurt and extras to make their guests feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of clean towels in the bathrooms, and enough pillows and blankets if needed. The yurt was very clean, probably the cleanest rental I have been to and that was appreciated. The only suggestion I would make is that the water heater room was noisy at night and made a loud clicking noise on and off all night which made it difficult for me to not hear it as a light sleeper. A ceiling cover for that little closet/room would probably muffle the noise enough to make it a non issue. Regardless, we highly enjoyed our stay and would positively stay here again!

Perfect Getaway Stay

The yurt was a perfect spot for our quick one night stay. It was a great location close to our visit to Mesa Verde and offered everything we needed and more. Very nice and modern amenities and the bed in the loft offered a great view of the stars through the skylight. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Mesa Verde getaway

This is such a fun and unique place to stay. Steven and his wife thought of every detail for a comfortable stay. The thought they put into this place was so touching we couldn't help but love our time there. The location has an absolutely gorgeous view. There are little trails throughout the property and the location and recommendations we received from Steven were phenomenal. If we are in the area we would not hesitate to stay here again!
