HIDDEN GEM - River front home with a dock.

Water front home with a gorgeous porch to soak in river views,enjoy the sunset & fishingwith your family. Private dock and lighted fishing pier with fish cleaning station. The views are like none other, a very unique view of the river.

The patio furnitures are cozy and comfortable,elevates the experience of the view to another level. The swing in the patio is not only a favorite of children but anyone who is a child at heart.

A fire pit for camp fires,a coal grill for BBQing, a picnic bench to enjoy the s’mores and tasty BBQ from grill.

3 bedroom and 3 full baths in all, 2 huge master bedrooms with king beds and en-suite bathrooms. Along with queen size pull over bed in the living area the home can sleep 8 ppl. Washer and dryer to enjoy longer stays.

Tv in each room with WiFi to bring your favorite entertainment. We have Netflix and Amazon prime in living area TV and some channels in Visio TV in one master bedroom. We recommend bringing a fire stick along for entertainment of your choice. Quick drive or boat ride to beach.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
The house has 3 bedrooms of which 2 have attached bathrooms with wall in showers and king beds. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk (twin) bed. Third bathroom is accessible from all parts of the house.

FRONT PORCH
The front porch is long and has furnitures for relaxing and enjoying the view.

KITCHEN
Kitchen is spacious and is equipped to cook and serve up to 8 ppl. There is a keurig to enjoy your favorite flavor of coffee! The living area has a sofa with a pullout bed and two single sofa to make a conversation set.

TV
All rooms and living room has TVs. All TV have some form of entertainment to other. Do bring your own fire stick to connect to the TVs for your favorite channels.

PRIVATE DOCK
The private dock is great for fishing. We have a crab cage to drop for crabbing. The fishing station is on the dock for your use .
Guest Parking
Parking for 3 - 4 vehicles is available in front of the garage. No access to garage. Boat can be docked in the private dock. Please be responsible not to block the way for the neighbors while parking in front of the garage.

Water safety
Guests are responsible for their and their children’s safety on the dock . Swimming is not allowed near the dock.

Love this place
The beds are comfy. The AC works well. We have stayed here before and love the fact that each couple has their own king size suite. I was sitting on the covered porch watching my husband fish and reading the reviews of this place online and everyone was talking about the pool table. I mentioned it out loud and then my husband went around to the back of the house and found the door to the garage opened and there was a game room! If I had not read that, we would have never known. It's a fun little room. I wish it had been listed in the amenities. I have no clue if it was there 2 yrs ago on our last stay cause we're not ones to go snooping where we don't belong and like I said, we had no clue it was even there.

Easter weekend was a blast
My kids loved fishing off the dock and the owner was very responsive when we tried. Contacting her. Property is very kid friendly and close to everything! We had more than enough room to spread out and relax for our recent Easter vacation. The pool table room was a neat addition giving the older kids a place to hang out without disturbing everyone while we slept! Loved the house and will definitely be back!

True Hidden Gem
This is a wonderful family home! We loved being close to town but right on the river. Having 3 bathrooms with a big family is a wonderful thing and there was plenty of space to spread out! The porch is my favorite spot for drinking coffee and visiting with family. I love how it perfectly frames the view of the river! The fishing dock is right in front of the house and the fish are ready to be caught! This is our new favorite place and we will definitely be back!

Great Fishing Cottage
We are frequent visitors to Matagorda but this is our first time staying in this area on the Colorado River. Cute cottage — Great location, we unloaded the boat at the harbor but were able to dock the boat at the cottage’s pier during the day. Great fishing at the pier at night under the green lights. It was nice to find a house with 2 king beds! Owners responded promptly.

Hidden Gem for Sure
We frequent Gorda several times a year. Our normal bnb was not available and this one was appealing. I wasnt sure how I would like not being on the main drag of beach homes, but I absolutely fell in love with this location. The home is a good size and three bathrooms rock when coming in from a day at the beach. The fishing was actual better than some other locations we have stayed. The porch was large and had plenty of outdoor seating. The yard was amazing for the family to gather (we had other family memeners staying down the road) especially the kids... you only had really one thing to watch out for with the little kids and that was the dock... versus the dock..the balconies, the speeding cars and several access locations to the water at our normal bnb. The beds were great...the owner did not go cheap when buying mattresses for guest. The home was clean, inviting and the ac kept the home cool even in the heat of the day. There was a very cool game room, we didnt get a chance to use it this time but it was really neat! Now for the folks that visit Gorda alot... we all dread having to take your trash to the dump on the way out... this property has a trash bin... we were able to skip the dump and head straight home!!! We are absolutley in love with this location and plan to be back soon! Thank you so much for inviting us into your home for the weekend, Priya and Jal. We hope to book again soon. BEAUTIFUL HOME AND GREAT FISHING
This home was very nice and offered everything we needed for our family. The home has 3 seperate bathrooms so that was a big plus. We had 6 adults and grandchildren. Everyone commented what a great location we were in. Loved the privacy. We fished and crabbed....played lots of games provided by the property and relaxed on the beautiful porch. We really didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this property.

This place is great, loved the pier, and the game room was a plus, house is very spacious, very clean inside and out, the host is very nice and is great on communicating through out your stay and very caring. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Planned a last minute trip to Matagorda and booked the river front cottage- it was beyond our expectations. The description of the property was accurate and the property was very clean. There was only two of us so we didn't utilize the game room but could see what a nice bonus that could be with a group. Loved the porch and the fishing deck. The location was easy to get to and not far from the places we went. The only thing we wished it had was a hair dryer and some closet space to hang clothes. We will definitely book it on our next trip back to Gorda if it's available.

Great Property
This is a great house at the end of the road with a fishing pier with water and lights for night fishing. Restaurants and shops are minutes away. House is very clean and with 3 large bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with cooking implements. The back porch is huge and comfortable with lots of sitting areas plus a porch swing.

Great location for a guys fishing trip
Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't the best. Grass clippings, dirt, & cigarette butts covered the parking area and the stairs to the front door. The patio furniture was dusty, cushions had blown off the furniture and there were lots spider webs. The good news is that the host responded quickly and sent her cleaning lady out (no small feat as she was 40 minutes away from the rental). In the dark she cleaned the debris off the driveway and stairs, hosed down the patio and replaced outdoor cushions which was a big improvement! This effort made Tuesday morning coffee on the patio a much more enjoyable experience. This is why I say it's a great location for a guys fishing trip as these details are less important to guys who are basically there due to the close proximity of the marina and fishing guides. The house is within a 20 minute drive to the beach (Gulf of Mexico) which made for a great get away for us girls while the guys fished. Local dining options were very limited. Grocery store is in a gas station. Note: Our two-night stay fell on a Monday and Tuesday in early May, which I'm assuming is the off season. Dining and other resources may be different during the peak summer season. Host was super responsive and location was great.

Fishing weekend getaway with good friends!
The house had everything we needed. The outside amenities are unmatched! A great spot on a quieter part of the Colorado river. Cooking in the kitchen was easy but could’ve used better nonstick pans. Not a huge deal. The outdoors grill is low maintenance but takes a little getting used to. Still works good. I’d definitely stay here every time it was available.

Great, but just shy of perfect.
All was great. I was able to cook and host my friends, practice yoga and enjoy the river view. The only thing I wish was better was the quality of the internet connection and streaming access in all rooms. The internet connection was no longer available the last 15 hours of our stay, nothing would connect. Otherwise all was well!!
