„I stayed on the dock for hours: water splashed, insects chirped, large perches frolicked, herons came to visit, black scoters dove and bobbed up. Excellent golf course - Meadowview - is 13 minutes away! And two more a little further. Alamo steakhouse is 14 minutes drive; their crème brûlée is to die for! Steaks are also great :) Abraham Lincoln's family farm is 20 minutes away, so is the cemetery where Thomas Lincoln, Abraham's father, is buried. The farm is a state park, run by volunteers, ...

„It was everything we needed for a weekend stay! The inside was cute and we had all the kitchen supplies to make our own meals. Only cons: The adjoining neighbors porch was unkept. The yard needed mowed with trash in it. (I imagine that blew over from the neighbor's side.) The bunk bed was different than the one in the picture but still 3 twin beds. “

„I came with two friends to shop and experience Amish Country. The house was perfect. We ate breakfast there both mornings and had aupper there in evenings. Walked to main street both days and loved all the shops. Drove out in the country, ate at Yoder’s, shopped at the Bulk market, took a buggy ride. We are coming back soon.“

„Michael and Teegan provided a seemless process for check-in. Slight issue with wifi network was resolved quickly. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Nice apartment with cool historic past. Stopped in the speakeasy in the basement of some bank bldg - very hip place. Effingham is doing some really cool things and this place is one of them.“

„This is our 3rd year visiting Arthur and staying in this home. We come back every year because the home has exactly what you need to feel at home. It is spotless. „Very nice, roomy and clean home. Only had a couple of issues… air was not on when we arrived at 3:40, and it was about 90 degrees. It took several hours to cool down. Also had plenty of bath towels, but only had 6 washcloths… for 8 people. We would stay again to see the in-progress outside work completed, ! “

„Das Hotel hatte auch schon bessere Zeiten. Wir hatten ein Zimmer innen. Der Bereich ist bei schönem Wetter sehr warm, der Pool nicht nutzbar, kaum Leute im Hotel. Zimmer OK, gutes WLAN, Betten und Toilette sauber.......eine Kakerlake schreckte uns ab, aber es schien die Einzige zu sein, ....zum Glück. Der Teppich ist auch nicht wirklich schön anzuschauen. Eine Erneuerung wäre angebracht . Die Leute nett. Für eine kurze Übernachtung zu empfehlen.“

Only negative was a couple employees standing near the front doors smoking every time we came and left. They were trying to hide it, but a non-smoker could smell it from thirty feet away.
