„Checkin was simple, I received my keycards and proceeded to my room. The property not only is in good condition, yet was festively decorated for the harvest season. „The owner or manager was quite accommodating with early checkin for our luggage and let us use her mini refrigerator. She was very friendly and gave us a tour of this 1889 home. She made a delicious breakfast accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. The bed and room were totally comfortable! The only drawbacks were sharing the bathroom with the three other rooms making six people using the one bathroom. A water filter is also needed for the brown water.“

„Cute loft style studio. Clean, great for an overnight stay. View from studio to mountains must be beautiful in the winter. There are a few stairs to climb no lift. Windham NY is a cute town with everything you need, friendly people, quaint shops, Victorian style homes kept beautifully and lots of nice restaurants. “

„What a wonderful delight when we stayed at the Silas House. It felt like home. The hosts were most gracious and very friendly. They were also very helpful with the area information and restaurants. Having the whole house as an extension of our room and outside was unlike any hotel. Meeting other guests was a delight too. All and all it was an amazing experience. If you are able book the king suite. It is on the first floor and very roomy. Enjoy.“

„This was supposed to have 6 beds - there was one queen mattress on the floor of the loft and one double futon. Nothing more. To get to the loft, one had to climb a ladder with no handrails, just gripping the steps! As an older person, I could not do this. I was too uncomfortable. „This is a very nice private cottage away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life.
