Family getaway
This house is wonderful for large groups. We had seven couples and lots of kids, and there were still spare rooms! It is comfortable, spacious and relaxed. We enjoyed the air hockey table, mini basketball, and movie projector. Hosts were kind and communicated everything we needed. Check in/out was easy.

We had spent Christmas here twice before with family from as far away as Denmark! It is a perfect place to spend the holidays with family. Loved everything about the house and location. Very special memories this year as we lost a family member during the year and two members are fighting serious illness.

Barkdull Family Reunion
I loved the setting of Conifer Lodge. Surrounded by tall pines in a quiet neighborhood and close to the lake and Ponderosa State Park. The spacious home was perfect for our large family. Plenty of private spaces and bathrooms which was greatly appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked and roomy which allowed for plenty of cooks. I was amazed at the large patio with seating for 30. Having a TV in every bedroom was a great perk too. We had a big gathering in the great room on our last night and my family of 35 fit comfortably. Everyone is already talking about when we can come back . Frank and Kitty were available whenever we needed them and were very kind. We love this place!

Wonderful cabin for our family reunion
We all absolutely loved our stay at the Conifer Lodge for our family reunion. The little kids loved the play room with the climbing wall and slide, older kids liked the game room, we all had so much space to spread out, the rooms were perfect, comfortable beds, quiet between rooms, plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen had all we needed, maybe a few more dish cloths... there are like 5 washer/dryers, plenty of supplies, dishwasher detergent. The host was so kind to leave us some fresh bread, cookies and flowers. There really was everything we needed and we hated to leave. We hope to be back again, thank you so much for opening your beautiful cabin for us to enjoy, the pictures on-line really don't do this cabin justice, so much more spectacular!!

Wonderful place for a writers retreat!
We hosted a writers retreat at this property and it served our needs quite nicely. There are multiple areas to hang out, a beautiful spacious gathering place in the common living/dining/kitchen area that is both comfortable and beautiful, and amenities such as 2 fridges, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, and W/D sets on more than one level. I used the kitchen daily to cook for our group of 28 and it was fully stocked with every kind of kitchen item you can imagine. The WiFi was able to handle more than 20 people using laptops or devices at any one time. The hosts were very kind and accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Old Fashioned Cabin
This cabin has all the modern conveniences while having a vintage feel. The floor boards look to be 100 years old. The bedroom furniture and quilts are reminiscent of days gone by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is commercial sized and well stocked. We found an entire drawer of spices that came in handy. The radiant heated floors kept the whole building warm and the wood burning fireplace gave a wonderful ambiance. The bathrooms were roomy and the extra fridge in the garage was a plus. We were there for a corporate retreat. There was room enough to split up for separate meetings while still leaving space for those not included, to gather. We made use of a folding table in the garage and games left in a closet. The location made it easy to slip away to explore McCall and recreate. Our only hiccup was that Google Navigation led us down Conifer Street instead of Strawberry Street, which is where the driveway is located. We would use this cabin again!

Family Reunion - great memories
This property did not disappoint on its ability to accommodate our large family reunion that spanned four generations. The great room and kitchen allowed us to be together with enough seating for everyone. The younger kids especially enjoyed the upstairs bunk area and game rooms. The host's were supportive with our few questions. The property had everything we needed to a create a forever memory family reunion. Our favorite reunion location!
This is by far our favorite family reunion location of all the places we have ever been. We have stayed at the Conifer Lodge twice. It is clean, large for big groups to have space to relax and enjoy time together. There is a fully stocked kitchen, with every gadget, appliance and pan you could need for a large group. The game room with adjacent climbing wall for the littles and another play room with a dollhouse, dress ups, air hockey, books, games, etc. There is an air conditioner and a separate ceiling fan in each room to keep the bedrooms comfortable on the hot days. A nice basket of bath essentials is in every room and a full set of towels for every guest is in each room as well as linens in all the bathrooms. We were also greeted to fresh flowers on the kitchen table and a basket of goodies a well. I honestly can't think of anything that could be added to this lovely place. It is an incredible place for making wonderful memories. Conifer Lodge will be in our hearts forever and hopefully we will be able to return in the future. Thank you Frank and Kitty for every taking care of every detail!

Delightful Home with Great Appeal for Family Events
This was our third family reunion at this beautiful lodge. It met and surpassed all our needs and desires. The kitchen is well stocked for large groups and sleeping accommodations met all of our needs. There was a nice variety of activities in the kids play area, which makes it great for the adults who want to relax and visit. The surrounding area has lots of outdoor activities. Everything was very clean and the grounds around the lodge are well kept and beautiful. We highly recommend this location for any large group but especially attractive for family reunions - great for families reconnecting. It was especially exciting to see the beautiful deer that frequent the area.

Family Reunion for 29 people
When we booked the property, we thought it would be a group of 35 but it whittled down to 29 after one family had to cancel. This cabin offers beds, rooms, & space. Otherwise, the furnishings are pretty spartan. The upper-level was fun for the younger kids. The location is ok--a little ways from the city/water, but for a group this size, it's about as good as it gets. Generally, we enjoyed our stay and it worked out for our reunion. There was one item that rubbed me the wrong way. Upon arriving after a 6-hr drive to McCall, the owner of the property met me with an additional contract to sign. Having used Vrbo extensively in the past, this caught me off guard because the terms of the stay are supposed to be spelled out at the time I booked the property. Having a secondary contract that isn't presented until you arrive and have no other options isn't acceptable and violates the terms of what I had already agreed to. The additional terms were mostly reasonable, so I don't know why they don't include it in the original booking. One of the additional terms was that they could charge you $100 for something as simple as unplugging a lamp and failing to plug it back in prior to checking out. This is absurd and I never would have agreed to it up front, but I was held hostage at check-in to sign the contract. I expressed by displeasure to the owner about being presented with an additional contract at check in but he seemed indifferent.

This was the PERFECT place for a large family (or combination of several families) gathering. We had a group of 10 adults and 11 kids - and we didn't for a moment feel cramped (quite the opposite - we had extra room!). Frank and Kitty were gracious hosts - and their cabin was exactly what our group was looking for. The kids had the time of their lives playing in the game room(s) and sleeping in the bunk room! The grownups were able to gather and play games on the main floor with a GIANT kitchen to cook meals. We plan to come back soon!
