Located across the Brow we got to see some great views and a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed shopping and eating at some great restaurants too. We invite you to come visit Mentone at Moonflower Cottage. Mentone is a charming little town in northeast Alabama, just a few miles north of Fort Payne and 45 miles from Chattanooga. It sits atop Lookout Mountain, where the views are not only spectacular but there are wonderful places for hiking, the 104-foot DeSoto Falls just three miles away, and we are close to DeSoto State Park. The flora and fauna are spectacular year around and Moonflower is an easy 1/4-mile walk to the heart of Mentone, where there are charming stores and restaurants and more on the way. Be sure to visit the nonprofit Mentone Arts Center, as well as Elevation Bistro, Wildflower Cafe, the Mentone Market, The Hatter Restaurant and other specialty stores in town and nearby.

Moonflower Cottage will be the star of the your visit. Imagine being surrounded by antique furniture and oriental rugs, granite countertops and stainless appliances, two king en suites with full baths, and a fully equipped kitchen that's been described as "extraordinary."

The screened back porch offers gentle breezes, comfortable wicker furniture and a dining table for six. The front porch has four rocking chairs and it's the best place on earth to see incredible sunsets.

Cutest Place for a Girls Weekend
Moonflower Cottage has to be the cutest, coziest cabin in Mentone. It was so adorable and we had trouble getting motivated to do anything other than laying around in front of the gas logs and laughing until we were hoarse. We had the most beautiful views and sunsets and Ben, our host, was simply the best. He stopped by as we were checking in to make sure all was good and then came and "rescued" us at 10:00 that night, as we had a lock code mishap. Whoops. Do yourself a favor and stay here. There were four of us and it was very comfortable. We definitely plan to return.

Home Away from Home
Our group has rented this beautiful cozy cottage ten times. It never disappoints. Conveniently located to the center of Mentone & yet very quiet & peaceful with fabulous views. We made a point to try to be at the cottage for each sunset because they are spectacular. Moonflower Cottage is a gem with beautiful furnishings, oriental rugs, gas logs, & a well-stocked kitchen. We even have been looking at our calendars because we want to book the 11th adventure!

AMAZING PROPERTY
The property was wonderful. We loved that there were two master bedrooms. The view from the brow was amazing. Out of the 4 nights we were there we had wonderful sunsets for 3 of them. Ben was a tremendous host and the few questions we asked were answered within minutes.

This cottage was perfect for watching the sunset from the front porch. Excellent for older individuals with mobility issues (one story with flat access to property). Property is in excellent condition with spacious screened porch. My favorite cottage in Mentone to date!

Perfect Cottage Getaway
Not our first stay in the lovely and unique town of Mentone; but, our first stay in Moonflower cottage. This cottage is in an ideal location with breathtaking views from the front porch. The amenities were first rate. Even though it was rainy and windy for much of our stay, thanks to Hurricane Francine, we enjoyed our relaxing, cozy, and comfortable stay in this ideal cottage. Thank you, Mr. Ben, for your assistance! We hope to be back in the Spring!
