Ignored and useless
I made my reservation back in November. As my stay grew closer, I reached out to confirm my reservation. No response. I reach out to VRBO to confirm my reservation. They responded that it was indeed confirmed. Three days before my arrival, I send the owner a message with my arrival information and ask for instructions to check in. No answer. I try again the following day. No answer. At this point my anxiety is getting up there. The day before my arrival, I try calling followed by a couple of messages both via WhatsApp and through VRBO. Nothing. By the evening before my arrival, I contact VRBO and the agents were absolutely helpful in following up and gave the owner a time limit to respond. No response. I ended up booking a much better property through Easylife and followed up with VRBO to ensure that the owner does NOT get my money. Had I waited till the day of my arrival, it would have been a much different story. Anxiety and holidays shouldn’t go together. VRBO was great and supportive throughout the entire process but believe me I was absolutely irate with the owner.
