Strongly recommend if you are looking to get away from the tourist crowds, yet still close to explore Acadia and many of the other coastal trails and popular attractions.“

„Great views and property! Enjoyed paddling across the bay to the islands. MDI and Schoodic Point were close enough to get out and do early morning biking/hiking, beating the crowds. House was clean and had a well equipped kitchen to include a Keurig and drip coffee machine. No a/c but the ceiling fans kept us cool enough even on unusually hot days/evenings for Maine in June (mid 90s). Overall, great vacation spot!“

„The house is beautifully decorated and so cozy. There is a national wild life refuge steps away and anyone who stays here should definitely check it out. The owners made sure to check in with us when we arrived but we didn’t need a thing. It was perfect. I only wished we could have stayed longer!“

„Amazing visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Super comfy for 7 total. 5 Adults, 1 teenager and 1 child. Walking distance to town and short drive into Acadia National Park. Very clean, and well maintained. Lots of room to spread out. Host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!“

„We had a great week at Summerwood. Perfect size for two people. The covered porch is perfect for relaxing out of the sun or rain. Wild turkeys roam the backyard. Excellent bird watching. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Loved the skylights inside. Great light. Hiking trail to Ocean Path is awesome. Easy drive to Park Loop Rd and Carriage Road parking areas. „Great location and all on one floor!“

„The cottage was in a perfect location for my family's one week stay. Only a short drive to Bar Harbor, the beach at Seal Harbor and the trails and carriage roads of Acadia. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for preparing any meals. The air conditioner and heaters (one cool night!) worked very well. I recommend this cottage to everyone planning on visiting the area!“

„Mom in her 80's has mobility challenges and this cottage provided necessary access amenities. Tho physically motion might be difficult, her heart soared to be in this wonderful place for even a few days, the birds and deer and trees and breezes, the changing tidal views kept her entranced. Trails nearby on refuge gave me plenty of wandering time and miraculously little traffic. Hope to return sometime soon.“

„Good location on a quiet street only 10 minute walk to downtown. We only used the master bedroom (there is a second bedroom) and the bed was quite comfortable. Photographs on Vacasa’s website give the impression of a much more modern, updated home than reality. House is satisfactory and in reasonable shape, but condition and furnishing do not warrant the premium price. Also Vacasa was not very responsive to our repair requests (issues were not urgent but did deserve attention).“
