Dieses private Cottage liegt nur wenige Minuten von der Innenstadt von Carmel entfernt und in günstiger Lage am Highway 1, von wo aus Sie bequem nach Big Sur, Monterey und Pebble Beach gelangen. Entspannen Sie sich in unserer ruhigen Umgebung inmitten des Waldes des Hatton Canyon. Das Anwesen befindet sich weit entfernt von der Straße im bewaldeten Hatton Canyon. Dieses geräumige Cottage mit 1 Schlafzimmer und die schöne große private Terrasse sind ein abgeschiedener, ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen nach einem aktiven Tag auf der Monterey-Halbinsel. Wir haben an alle Details gedacht, die für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt im Cottage erforderlich sind. Die Küche ist mit einer Mikrowelle, einer Kaffeemaschine, einem Toaster und einem Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Genießen Sie kostenlosen Wein, Kaffee, Tee und viele Leckereien für einen schnellen Snack. Beautiful neighborhood!
This stay was overall amazing and very enjoyable. It is a perfect place if you will be gone most of the day! Everything was tidy and clean, everything we needed was already there. The only confusing part was getting into the door. The code was given to us but I wasn't sure how to operate the device on the door.

It was just what we were looking for. A cozy, quiet, little cottage close to Monterey and Pebble Beach. Location was super convenient, right off the main highway. Yet it still felt like it was in the middle of the forest. Beautiful elevated deck overlooking trees. Wifi and tv were fine. No real issues with our stay.

Communication was not great with owner. Asked a few questions and only got short non answers. Ants were a problem. Cleanliness of couch as stated in other reviews was a concern. It’s comfy but filthy. There was a funky smell from furnace, we added essential oils to help. Location was good. No outside front pics posted and there is a reason. Size of unit was great for 2 people and kitchen was well equipped with basics.

Perched on the side of a canyon, abundant open area with a tree canopy, nice views and a surprising amount of wildlife in an urban area. Overall, quite peaceful. Very clean. Cons: Smallish bathroom, one sink. Slow running bath drain. Sofa needs replacement. Some remodel noise from neighbor on left. Neighbor to right of unit and outdoor deck mere inches away and greatly reduces privacy feeling when on deck.

Really convenient location to Carmel! Enjoyed such easy access to restaurants and shopping on Ocean Ave. Cottage was small but big enough for the two of us and our baby. Hosts were extremely helpful and nice and easy to reach with questions.

Hello, The property was as presented in VRBO. It was easy access and we had timely and accurate access information. We struggled a bit with the TV (you know us Boston fans - its playoff time!) but all messages/calls were promptly returned. It did get warm in the unit in the afternoon and we remedied that by opening both the deck door and main door for a bit. On the other hand, the heating system was quick and warm for the cool mornings. We are grateful, Becky and Mark

We enjoyed our stay in Carmel. The cottage is cute and comfortable. The deck is the best part; we had coffee/breakfast out there each morning. The queen bed was comfortable and the space was clean. Except the couch was dirty. Time to clean it or cover it or retire it for a new one! And guests do need to know the neighbors have chickens. The rooster starts crowing before the sun comes up. If you are an early riser, then no problem. But if you want to sleep in, then some white noise or ear plugs may be helpful. 😴🐓

Kind of a miss
I hate to say it, but this rental was kind of a miss, especially compared to previous experience with VRBO. I will give a detailed review of the positives and negatives. As we approached the property, we could tell right away that the grounds, landscaping and exterior of this 1950s build had not had much attention, so the curb appeal was very low. Beware that the driveway is very narrow and a steep downhill. When we opened the door, we were surprised at how small the rental was, smaller than most hotel suites we stay in. It was also HOT. Every day, even when the outside temperature was only 68, it was consistently 80-83 degrees in the unit, even with the back door and windows open. There was no AC, but a couple of low-powered floor fans. As far as the individual rooms go, let’s start with the kitchen. On the plus side, it did have a full-sized refrigerator (nice for storing cases of water), attractive granite counter tops, very hot water, a deep sink, and plenty of nice stemware, plates and bowls. A coffee maker, toaster, and microwave were useful. However, there was no range, so in-house food prep was not possible. The living area is an extension of the kitchen. On the positive side, there is a large screen wall-mounted TV monitor. Outside the living area is a nice, large deck with furniture, and a view of a ravine. However, the living area was quite dated. The carpet had many stains and does not appear to have been cleaned recently. The sofa really has to be replaced. It is very old and looks like something from a college dorm. There was no place to eat (we did have some take-out and it was a difficult). A small coffee table didn’t really suffice, and although there is a small, taller table, there were no chairs high enough to use it for dining. Wi-fi was provided and was reliable. The entertainment system, however, kept losing its connectivity to the Wi-fi. Did I mention it was HOT? On to the bedroom. The bed itself had a very comfortable mattress. Beware that it is a double bed, so if you are used to something larger, you will feel crowded. The linens were nice as was the comforter. There were plenty of pillows and blanket is you need, but again, it was pretty warm. All-in-all the bedroom was OK. The bathroom was large enough to be comfortable. A small vanity had a nice granite top. The water was plenty hot, although the water pressure in the combination tub/shower was weak and the tub drains slowly.

Really enjoyed our stay! The place is very close to everything in Carmel and has more room than a hotel to stretch out. The kitchenette was very welcome as we like to bring snacks and have our coffee in the deck. Highly recommended for a couple looking for a getaway!

Great little cottage
We stayed at this little cottage for 3 nights with our dogs and it was great! Small but cozy. Great location, literally across the highway from downtown Carmel (5 minutes) and 5 minutes away from shops and other restaurants (barnyard area). The only thing we didn’t know is that It is a guest house, so you share the property and wall with the main house. Those residents were super nice and asked how our stay was. I loved that we had a separate deck to ourselves on the back patio. The host was so easy and quick to get a hold of and checked in on us as well. I would definitely stay again! Thank you for hosting us!
