„Obwohl das Hotel direkt am Highway liegt, ist es sehr ruhig (Zimmer sind hinten gelegen). Wie fast überall auf Tasmanien wird noch ein Restaurant und eine Spielhalle betrieben. Der Service war exzellent. Die Zimmer müssen vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert und neu eingerichtet worden sein. Die Ausstatung umfasste alles, was man brauchte.“

„"Check in" fand an der Bar statt, da es keine Rezeption gibt. Für Australien sehr ungewöhnlich war dieser wortkarg und kühl. Sonst hatten wir immer eine sehr freundliche Begrüßung, kurzer small talk, ein paar Tipps etc. Hier gab es nur spielende und trinkende Männer. Wir fühlten uns nicht besonders wohl und willkommen. Das Zimmer war klein, dreckig und direkt an der Straße , die sehr belebt ist (sehr lauter Straßenverkehr, besonders in der Nacht von LKW). Es gab keine Ablagen, Kleiderhaken, ...

„We spent 12 days here in a self contained cabin and had a great time. The park is old and the current owners are slowly updating the facilities but don't let that deter you, it even has a heated swimming pool! The owners are really friendly and so helpful and the cabin was really clean. Just a short drive to Burnie, with a beach boardwalk across the road it's in a great position. We would definitely stay here again. “

„Have stayed here 3 or 4 times and find it very pleasant, comfortable, convenient and affordable. Some noise on the port-facing side from trucks and machines working through the night on the dock. Better to stay on the town facing side.“

„Lovely house with lots of ducks all around! Special highlights of Burnie include the penguin colony (very busy during our late-Feb visit), platypus at Fern Glen, and a beautiful beach.“

„This property is a bit dated but has obviously had some upgrades over its life. We had a seafront room for 2 nights. The room was reasonably appointed with everything we needed. The water pressure to the inroom taps seemed very high and the mixer tap on the vanity basin was very noisy. The property had a lift for rooms above ground level. The tariff is a bit high, even though it is to be expected for a beachfront position. Overall a pleasant stay.“
