"The hotel room was nice. There was an iron and an ironing board but no hair dryer. Which seemed odd to me as I would think a hair dryer is used more than an ironing board. The beds were comfy, the place was clean and the room had blackout curtains, which was very appreciated. There were very few plug sockets though. No on site parking but there's a parking place across the road that does 24hr parking for £14 a day or £11 a day with discount provided by the hotel."

"Scotty in the restaurant was very welcoming and made our arrival (at 9am, after disembarking our cruise ship) go smoothly. The lady at the front desk happily checked our bags till the room was ready. We stayed there the night before the cruise started (11th-12th) and were very happy to stay the night after as well (26th-27th)."

Was within walking distance of our engagement and central Newcastle easy to see ( our first time) A bit noisy in streets outside as this is central Newcastle with pubs and clubs, parties, stags , Hens etc but would be very handy for anyone with social events in central Newcastle. "Stayed here in May on a Thursday night. Booked a room in the main hotel, after seeing reviews that some people ended up in a different building. There was a bit of faff about parking (not enough spaces for all the guests, so I had to be blocked in) but aside from that I thought it was a great room for a low price. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, with modern fittings. It was quiet and had a great night's sleep! Definitely exceeded my expectations."
