Amazing location!
We had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and having our own private beach was a highlight. The house was perfect for the nine of us. Overall, a perfect location if you want a relaxing vacation. We also enjoyed heading to Tim’s for lunch and also just hanging out at the pool with a “few” beverages!

Beautiful house, great location
Just got back from a week at One Tar Bay. Was there with 8 other adults. The place is amazing. Everything needed is there. There is a long stretch of beautiful beach where you can walk to Tim's on the water for drinks and food. If you're into exploring, it's also a great location to go to other beaches, which are all incredible, and a short ride to town, groceries and the airport. If you just want to relax you have the deck and pool right there along the ocean. The owners are very thoughtful and had the property manager greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. They provided a fantastic detailed guide of what to do, where to go, what to bring, etc. which was very helpful. Overall, an amazing place to stay and island to visit.

Great property
The house was perfect for our family. The downstairs apartment gave our twenty-somethings space to themselves and somewhere to stay up late without bothering the rest of us. Everyone having their own bathrooms was FANTASTIC! The views were beautiful and the pool and beach access made it the absolute perfect vacation home!

Gorgeous views, great for families
The views from the house are amazing. Owner was very attentive throughout the booking and during our stay (although we didn't need anything during our stay). House is perfect for families, beach access, pool, plenty of toys, games, equipment, etc. We loved it, traveled with party of 8 including 3 teens.

Great week at One Tar Bay
8 of us stayed here for a week in March to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was fantastic. We were grateful to have the pool because the ocean was very rough and hard to swim in. Mary was extremely responsive to our questions and requests and Cleo was very helpful. The house had everything we needed and was just as expected.

Wonderful week!
We had a wonderful week in this property, it was perfect for our two families. The kids enjoyed the pool and we walked the basically empty beach daily. Cleo was very helpful at check-in and responsive to any needs. The owners were even kind enough to give us duct tape when needed! The location is central to both sides of the island and we were able to explore it all. Perfect views and a beautiful home!

Amazing Home and Hosts
We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property. From our first contact at booking to our check-out, Mark, Mary and Cleo were wonderful. We can’t recommend this property highly enough. The location is perfect, the indoor and outdoor spaces great for a group, the kitchen well stocked and everything is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Excellent property Due to storms/flooding prior to arrival it damaged beach area in front of house/property. Overall great place to stay. Was a nice and relaxing vacation. Amazing week in paradise!
Exuma is breathtaking, and we loved being able to call this space home for the week! Great location, amazing views, and all the amenities we needed. Owners were very responsive to questions leading up to the trip and even allowed us to change our rental dates when plans changed. Cleo, the property manager, was also great and so helpful with local recommendations during our trip. Great place to stay!!

Wonderful escape!
We had a wonderful stay at One Tar Bay. Mary and Cleo were wonderful hosts. We arrived early and were able to arrange a drop off of our luggage before the scheduled check in. Everything was set up as requested and Mary was very transparent that the internet was out due to a down pole the night prior and that they were fixing it (it came back on a few days later in spite of the weekend). Plenty of space, all the utensils and kitchen items. Pool toys and beach towels. Lots of great books and games (we gifted our puzzle that we brought along). We look forward to coming back in the future! Thank you for a fabulous escape in the Exumas!

Infinity Pool, Location, and great spot for a friends vacation
Accommodating hosts that sent great recommendations before our trip, grocery shopped before we arrived, and were flexible with our dates and check-out time. We loved all that the house had to offer- beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear, etc. The pool and deck layout can’t be beat. We explored the whole island and loved being centrally located- don’t miss Shoreline, Hooper’s Beach, Cocoplum beach and bistro, pig/iguana tour, Tropics of Cancer beach and Santanas. Gotta recommend Shirley’s and karoake on Friday night at Mark’s. Our boat rental fell through and Graeme helped us easily secure an amazing boat for our group of 10. We loved the separate bedrooms and bathrooms and many outdoor spaces to enjoy the sun and stars for our group of 3 families.

Private Oasis
One Tar Bay was a fantastic choice for our week in Exuma with friends. The house and pool are extremely private and beautiful. You can walk to exhaustion on the beach and likely not encounter another person. The hosts Mark and Mary are wonderful people and were there for our every need. Highly recommend!

One Tar Bay is Fantastic!!
We could not have been happier with this property. The home is beautiful and extremely well-equipped. It was very accommodating to our entire family of eight. The pool, porches, and deck were simply amazing. And, the location of the home and its view are just unbeatable. Not only that, but also our hosts Mary and Mark were very helpful both before and during our stay. Their property manager, Cleo, was also extremely helpful. Just as an example, she had gone to the grocery store for us and picked up requested items, so they were waiting on us when we got there. Overall, we highly recommend One Tar Bay and we look very forward to returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at One Tar Bay!! There was enough room for all of us (adults/grandkids) without being on top of each other. The infinity pool was awesome, just looking out to the beautiful color of the water. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could want or need!! The beds were comfortable. Great home for a large family
We had a wonderful stay at One Tar Bay! The weather was not ideal for boating like we had planned to do everyday, so we were thankful that the house was spacious and had everything we needed. The kids played board games and enjoyed the toys our host provided when it was raining. The adults were happy we had everything we needed to make meals and morning cappuccinos. We found the house to be just as described, everything was in working order and we would definitely recommend staying here.

What a place!!!
Our family of 8 had high expectations of One Tar Bay and Exuma, and to our surprise, those expectations were exceeded! The home is absolutely perfect for a larger group. We had plenty of space, the kitchen is well-equipped and wow, what can I say about the views. We spent hours and hours around the gorgeous pool area, cooked on the gas grill (sadly didn't use the BBQ pit because I was nervous of the wind causing a fire) and took walks on what is essentially a private beach. We never saw another soul the whole week. Our favorite day trips were renting the boat for two days to explore the harbor, notably Stocking Island (Starfish Beach was our fav!) and a short drive to Hoopers Bay to swim with the turtles. Thanks to Mary and Mark for their great hospitality!

Awesome Stay at One Tar Bay!
First off, I would like to say thank you so much to Mark and Mary for allowing our group to reserve One Tar Bay! My husband and I are relatively well-travelled in the Caribbean and our stay at One Tar Bay was simply fantastic. I would also like to point out that if anything was broken or didn’t work properly, the issue was addressed immediately. We were unable to log onto the internet the first day and Mark was at the house within an hour to fix it. We had a group of 10 (including 6 kids ages from 5 to 15) and there was literally no complaint from anyone- which is amazing considering the number of people. OTB is in a great location. We were first time visitors to Exuma and did not really know what to expect. OTB is a short drive from the airport, and in a good, central location to get to various parts of the island. You can get to Coco Plum Beach within 40 minutes or the opposite end at Tropic of Cancer Beach within 40 minutes from OTB. The house is exactly as described and so much more, honestly. The views out of the living room windows are second to none. The bedrooms and possible configurations are flexible and really worked well for our group. The pool was stunning and the walk to the beach was relatively easy. Mary and Mark even have a bin full of children’s toys and books about the Bahamas you can enjoy. OTB provides shampoo, laundry detergent and other items needed until you can get to a grocery store to refill. They even have beach towels you can use while you are on their property. We brought extra from home for use off property. Further, OTB’s kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen I have ever stayed in. There is literally everything you could need from blenders to crockpots and everything in between. Mary and Mark do such a wonderful job of making sure the house has everything one needs while staying in Exuma and that started with the guide that she sent out days before arrival giving you a run down of things to expect, places to dine, grocery store locations and prices and even a sample of daily things to do so you can hit up all of the highlights on Exuma. In short, OTB is an amazing place with wonderful hosts in a fantastic location and setting. I would not hesitate to book again and hope too again very soon. We fell in love with Exuma. Thanks again Mary and Mark for an unforgettable vacation in your lovely home!

One Tar Bay Stay!
House is in a great location, being close to the airport and center of the island. Beautiful views and nice outdoor area. It was super windy for some of the time we stayed there, so using the beach or anything outdoors was VERY limited in this location on high wind days. There was also construction on the house right next door, which made sitting outside less than relaxing. The house is very spacious and a nice kitchen area. We did have issues with wifi all week. It never worked after day two. . This is tough with children, who expect wifi use every day! The house was not super clean on our arrival, but I know this is the Bahamas and getting it very clean is a challenge. The dryer took at least three cycles to dry clothes as well. Overall the location is very good and the house is nice, but I do wish they would fix the dryer, wifi and clean it a bit better!
