Modernes Lake House in einer abgelegenen Bucht am Long Pond, Mount Desert Island!

Genießen Sie den Long Pond und den Acadia National Park im Long Pond Escape, einem neuen Privathaus auf einem 6 Hektar großen Waldstück in einer abgelegenen Bucht an der nordwestlichen Ecke des Long Pond.

Die erste Etage verfügt über einen hellen, offenen Wohnbereich mit einer voll ausgestatteten Küche, einer Kücheninsel mit 4 Hockern, einem großen Esstisch und einem WC sowie einem Wohnbereich mit einem Holzofen. Die Türen öffnen sich zu einem geräumigen Deck mit Blick auf den See und zu einer seitlich abgeschirmten Veranda. Hauptschlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und 32-Zoll-Fernseher sowie Hauptbad mit verglaster Dusche. Das Hauptschlafzimmer bietet einen Blick auf den Long Pond.

Im Obergeschoss befinden sich drei Schlafzimmer: Königin (auch mit einem 32-Zoll-TV), Doppelzimmer und eines mit zwei Einzelbetten und ein Vollbad. Alle drei Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss haben Blick auf Long Pond.

Neu für 2019: Es gibt jetzt einen fertigen Keller mit einem Familienzimmer mit einem 48-Zoll-Fernseher mit Blu-ray-Player, ein Spielzimmer mit einem Mini-Billardtisch, ein Vollbad mit Dusche. Die Waschküche befindet sich ebenfalls auf dieser Etage. Die französischen Doppeltüren führen zu einer Steinterrasse mit einer Feuerstelle.

Gehen Sie zum privaten Steg und genießen Sie ein Bad oder Paddel und entdecken Sie die ruhige Seite von Long Pond. Ein Kanu, vier Kajaks, ein Ruderboot und ein Tretboot stehen zu Ihrer Verfügung. Wenn Sie keine Lust auf Schwimmen oder Bootfahren haben, können Sie sich im Dock sonnen, lesen, angeln oder einfach den Blick auf den See mit Cadillac, Sargent, Beech, Mansell und Bernard Mountains im Hintergrund genießen. Sie können auch die Seetaucher und Enten genießen, die jeden Tag vorbeischwimmen. Spacious and cozy with spectacular view
We love this lake house! The area is convenient to everything but also secluded and so peaceful. It was the perfect home to relax in after a long day out exploring Acadia. I was able to cook a lot of our meals, laundry was easy to do and my kids loved the mini pool table. We would stay here again if we visited MDI again. The host was a great communicator and made the experience smooth. The house was clean and comfortable.

Perfect Acadia getaway
This cabin is PERFECT for a trip to Acadia. Great location max 20-30 minutes away from most popular spots. The house had everything we needed. We got perfect leaf peeping since the foliage was peaked. The dock was amazing and we even cold plunged. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet this cabin offered.

Awesome Girls Trip
Seven women on an epic girls trip. Spent a few days in Acadia and finished in Boston. We should have stayed longer in Acadia and enjoyed the house more. Perfect location to the park but also so much to do at the house. 10 out of 10!!!!!

A fantastic stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view, beautiful setting, and accommodations were outstanding. We are nature and animal lovers and had the opportunity to see and hear river otter, loons, owl, cormorant, deer, and ducks. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking, the fire pit as well as sitting on the dock and beautiful deck. The proximity to Acadia and the harbors was great and we loved staying on the quiet side of the island.

Wonderful
The house was as advertised and worked beautifully. Tim was a terrific host providing an easy sign in experience and a lot of info on the place and things to do in the area. We also used the kayak, canoe, paddleboards - all are in terrific shape and included flotation vests and paddles. The location is perfect - quiet, peaceful with terrific access to all parts of the island. Terrific trip, thx!

Wonderful lakehouse next to Acadia!
Had a great time with the family. I highly recommend this property. We had fun with the water toys, exploring the area, fishing, campfires, etc. The lakehouse was within 30 min of pretty much everything on the island including Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Beautiful Lake Front
Wonderful house, loved the seclusion, very peaceful setting!, enjoyed the song of the loons every night. House was well stocked, inside and out. Many water toys, paddle boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and canoe. Plenty of life preservers, and fishing poles. Proximity to Acadias many hiking trails was great. Bar Harbor was just a short drive. We would definitely rent this house again!

Great house on MDI
We have stayed at many properties on MDI throughout the years and this one is hands down the best! The location is perfect - not too far from the Park Loop Road in Acadia or Bar Harbor, yet completely private. Long Pond is great for an early morning paddle, afternoon swim, or fishing.

Great stay on Long Pond
My family and I (ages 4-75) all enjoyed our stay on Long Pond. The house was clean and the sleeping and dining space was perfect for our family of 7. The seating in the living room was a little tight for all of us, but there was so much to do outdoors and the weather was great so there was not much time to sit indoors anyway! Most spots in Acadia were 20-30 mins away so it was a great jumping off spot for both the east and west sides of MDI. We especially recommend a sunset or sunrise hike on Beech Mountain (only about 10 mins away). There were plenty of boats and life jackets for everyone to get out on the pond and the dock is very peaceful for just relaxing. One small note is that we didn’t know to bring our own bath soaps, so we had to run out and get some. Not a big issue and overall we loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Relaxing visit to the pond
Perfectly secluded pond house with dock and plenty of boats and beds for the whole family! The house is newer and yet retains charm. We loved hanging out by the wood stove and cooking in the kitchen, plenty of cookware and utensils are provided. The wood stove was prepped with kindling and wood which was a nice touch! There is no teapot so you'll need to boil water the old school way or use the Keurig with no insert if you want hot water for tea. The house was clean, though my wife can't sit still even on vacation and managed to find SOMETHING to clean while we were there lol. The basement area is a little musty but they have a dehumidifier running and Tim says they are working on a permanent solution to the problem. It wasn't a big problem for us, we kept the windows open downstairs while we were there and it was workable. Tim was very responsive to communication through the app and called us immediately after we reported a problem with the GFCI causing the gas stove to stop working (at 7 AM!). The location to Acadia and various points of interest is perfect, just far enough that you're away from crowds, but not far enough that it seems like a slog to get anywhere. It feels like an oasis. Overall, we loved staying at the pond house and the kids have already asked if we can return next year!

Great Lake House
We loved the location and seeing the sunrise and sunset over the lake. The amenities were out standing and the house was well equipped. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck and using the firepit on the patio. The only thing that I would say to improve is to blow off the patio and deck when airing out the house and to use air fresheners.

Our group of 6 enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The house has lake access with lots of water rafts, kayaks, canoe and a paddle boat. Great hiking nearby. Well stocked kitchen and lake views from all the bedrooms.

A house to come back to
We (2 families of 4 adults and 3 kids) really enjoyed the house on the lake. Perfect location in a quiet spot in the woods with a view on the lake, lots of space, well stocked kitchen, games and puzzles for kids and adults, outdoor cooking equipment, and even boating equipment to use on the lake! The owners have been very communicative and helped us sort through any questions we had quickly. They even gave us some money back as the house temporarily lost power during a storm while we were there, even though this was of no fault of theirs. We're hoping to stay in that house again when we visit Acadia next time.

Great host, beautiful location, but some issues
This is a harder one to write about, as there were issues which should have been noticed by the caretakers for the property, and weren't. That said, the host was amazing in readily responding and working to resolve the issues during our stay, some of which needed more time. The weather, not under any control of owner(!), didn't give us the opportunity to use the various water sport items. The size and arrangement of the rooms was perfect for us, three couples. All was very comfortable, although the lowest level was not useable by us because of maintenance issues discovered when we arrived. (Musty aroma, very damp) Still, there were enough rooms for us to be accommodated. It's very likely that all of the issues that we experienced will be completely resolved by the time any future visitors will want to choose this great property.

Private and quiet. So convenient to hikes, restaurants, a wonderful library in Southwest Harbor, other beaches. So many different water vehicles. My granddaughter will never forget taking her first lesson (from her father —with life vests on) on paddling a canoe. Attentive host.
