ABOUT THE CABIN AND PROPERTY
Our mountain cabin is situated on over 1,00 private acres of beautiful mountain property which grants our guests the ultimate Glamping experience. Our property offers hiking trails, miles of ATV and horse trails, fishing ponds and a private waterfall viewable from the cabin back porch. Everything in the cabin is there for your use and enjoyment. Please use each item for their intended purpose only and return them to their proper place.
Keep in mind that we offer a Glamping experience which means some amenities typical to a hotel or other housing arrangement are not offered.
Below are a few important details to help prepare you for your stay:
CABIN ACCESS
As noted above, our cabin offers an amazing Glamping experience. However, due to the private and secluded nature of the cabin, access to the property can at times be difficult. Owners are not liable for losses due to inclement weather that may prevent access to the property. Access to the cabin requires the use of winding and rocky mountain roads. A truck, SUV, or another similar high clearance vehicle is recommended but not required. The mountain roads can be narrow with a few sharp cutbacks in some spots so we discourage the use of long trailers and campers.
ELECTRICITY
The cabin uses solar panel energy to power the electricity to run the lights, outlets, and small kitchen appliances (the fridge, freezer, and fireplace are powered by propane and can run constantly).
A gas powered generator is connected to the cabin as a backup source of power. It’s very easy to start and should be placed outside while running away from dry grass to prevent fires. Each guest group will be provided with the generator full of fuel along with an additional 5-gallon gas tank to use to refill the generator. Altogether a total of 7.5 gallons of fuel providing a total of 24-30 hours of run time.
DRINKING WATER
Potable water is not available on the property. Any water source found on the property is not safe to drink. We provide (1) case of bottled drinking water and (1) 5-gallon jug of clean cooking water for our guests. Any additional water needed must be self-provided.
BEDS AND BEDDING
The main living area sofa is a pull-out queen size bed. The futon in the upstairs balcony area is a queen size bed once the back is laid down flat. The upstairs bedroom has 2 twin size beds. Towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and bedspreads can be found in the large wardrobe in the main living area in labeled totes. The use of personal Tents is acceptable on the property. However, keep in mind there is only 1 bathroom and shower disposable for your entire party’s use so we recommend keeping your group size under 10.
SEPTIC TANK AND BATHROOM
We have a septic tank system, so please be mindful and don’t put paper towels, wipes, or feminine sanitary items down the toilet. The kitchen does not have a disposal so please only non-solidifying liquids in the kitchen sink, no food.
HUNTING
No hunting or target shooting of any kind is allowed unless guests have written permission directly from property owners. Additional hunting fee is also required. Violators will be prosecuted.
OPEN FIRES
Utah State law states no open fires are allowed. We therefore ask that you have NO FIRES AT ANY TIME. The risk of setting the mountain on fire is too great. You may use a BBQ grill or an enclosed pit with charcoal briquettes. Please make sure charcoal is extinguished properly. Failure to do so is a major cause of wildfires.
SUPPLIES AND SERVICES
The small town of Fountain Green does not have restaurants or grocery stores. The only services available is a small gas station in the middle of town. The City of Nephi is a 20 minute drive from the Cabin and is the closest place to stock up on supplies. We recommend doing so prior to your arrival.
WILDLIFE
Please be aware that you are in a wilderness area. For your safety, be mindful to watch for snakes, bears, stinging nettle and other harmful plant life as well as other wildlife that could potentially cause harm. Make sure you DO NOT leave food outside at any time that will encourage wildlife closer to the cabin.
RESPECT THE PROPERTY AND ADJACENT OWNERS
Please be respectful to the property and surrounding property owners. Make sure that you understand and stay within the property boundaries. A map of the property along with roads and trails will be provided. Also, please respect our property by not cutting down trees or plants. Please do not remove or otherwise damage fences or property markers.
