First time to Arkansas for my husband and I and our two Border Collies, a hidden gem, I love it! I also love this home and property!
The outside had many private and remote acres of treed rolling hills with wide hiking paths throughout. Our dogs loved being able to roam freely and explore, and I enjoyed our daily jogs and hikes on the trails. For those dogs who cannot be trusted off leash, there is also a large fenced-in area in the back of the house complete with a mud room and doggy doors.
The house is amazing, like nothing I have ever seen, doggie art with stories from all over the world, fancy wood, dog (mostly Lab) and bear decor everywhere, automatic dog waterers, two dog beds (with a big fluffy teddy bear), electric fireplace, huge kitchen with everything, washer/dryer, two TVs (no internet, but cell phones work well), and even a hot tub. Unfortunately, the fancy carved wood stairs were too slippery for our two older dogs, so we had to carry them up and down the stairs to use the bedrooms and the hot tub and to enjoy the amazing views on the 3rd floor.
The owner (Davis) lives on the property in another house on the other side of a hill. I loved meeting him upon our arrival and hearing some of his dog stories, and seeing and feeling his deep love for dogs which truly showed throughout this rental home, dogs are truly the best!
