I recently stayed at this resort and, while the experience had its ups and downs, there’s a lot to appreciate if you're looking for an all-season getaway.
First, the location is a huge plus—it’s only about 2 hours from DC, making it incredibly convenient for a quick escape. The resort offers something for everyone throughout the year, with winter sports for snow lovers, beautiful hiking trails in spring, and a fun water park to cool off in summer.
That being said, the resort's facilities are definitely showing signs of age. While there’s plenty to enjoy, it could use some updates to bring it in line with modern expectations, especially in terms of amenities and decor. It feels a bit outdated in places, but it's clear the resort still has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately, the customer service was a real letdown during my stay. The staff didn’t seem particularly attentive or helpful, and some interactions were less than welcoming. It’s a shame because with the right attitude, they could make a huge difference in improving the overall experience.
Despite the service issues, I still think this resort is worth considering if you're looking for an affordable, family-friendly destination with activities year-round. If the management puts a little more focus on guest satisfaction and refreshing the property, it could easily become a standout destination.
