Come stay our our cozy 3 bedroom home away from home located in beautiful and historic Murphysboro! We're just a 10-15 minute from SIU Carbondale University campus and close to many wine trails and lakes for your enjoyment.
The space
The house has 3 bedrooms and can sleep 7.
Bedroom number 1 has a king size bed.
Bedroom number 2 has queen size bed.
Bedroom number 3 has a double bed and a twin bed.
There's a reading room in the front and a family room in back with dining table for 6, couch and recliner as well as a dedicated workspace desk with a computer monitor (HDMI) guests are able to use if they need to do some work.
Full kitchen with everything you need to cook (you supply the food).
Washer/dryer for your convenience.
There is a deck in back with table and chairs for four as well as loveseat glider.
There is a large fenced in backyard.
Parking
There is a garage available if guest would like to use it (no remotes provided, must use the button in the garage). There is a 2 car covered driveway as well to help keep the weather off of guest vehicles.
Guest access
We have a secure electronic keypad deadbolt access on the front door. You will receive a code to open the door when you confirm your reservation with us. Simply enter the code and press the unlock icon. Once inside you can lock manually. When you leave, just touch the panel and it should lock.
Other things to note
All reservations require 2-night minimum.
We have Roku TV’s in the family room and all 3 bedrooms. We use “Roku Guest Mode” so that you can select your checkout date and any account you sign into will be removed on your checkout date at 12pm. We do not have local TV service but there is a Live TV Station on the Roku where you can watch basic TV programming.
We do have security cameras outside only on the front, back, and garage. There are no cameras inside the house.
Kinkaid lake is a quick 10 minute drive.
SIU and Carbondale is a 10-15 minute drive from the house.
The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is just south of Murphysboro, and the closest winery is about 15 minutes away.
The orchards located in the area are also a great stop to pick up some local fruit in season, baked goods, and more!
Downtown Murphysboro is THRIVING, and I encourage guests to explore all we have to offer. Our Main Street features shops for just about everyone!
