Accommodate 4 Adults (Not Including Children). Experience a magnificent west coast getaway at the Ocean Look Out Vacation Home. This chalet style home is located in a desirable north Nanaimo neighbourhood and is nestled on a private lot, surrounded by fir trees and panoramic ocean views. Gather with family and friends and build new traditions at this vacation home.

Welcome to the Ocean Lookout Vacation Home. This chalet style vacation home is set up to accommodate short or longer term stays. Enjoy the ocean views from the cathedral height picture windows in the living room or from the large deck designed for outdoor living. Relax in the living room around the cozy gas fire place or star gaze around the fire bowl on the large deck with ocean views.

The home has modern furniture and decor throughout and offers a fully equipped kitchen, eating nook, living room with a sectional and gas fire place, family room with a large couch and TV, 2 full bathrooms, and a designated work space with a desk. Two bedrooms with 3 beds in each.

Enjoy the complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Guest are welcome to use the washer/dryer and laundry detergent.

This home is all about outdoor living, there is a large deck just off the living room that has 4 Adirondack chairs, a fire bowl, designated eating area with an outdoor table/chairs, a gazebo, and a BBQ.
The deck and amenities can be used all year round

The house is located near all major amenities such as shopping, movie theatres, fitness facilities, recreations centres, and restaurants

There are many popular beaches, lakes, parks, and hiking trails nearby

Guests will access the home using a keyless entry system
Guests will receive a custom keyless entry code
Parking for 4 vehicles

No smoking on the property as the house is surrounded by trees and shrubs that create a potential fire hazard
No Pets on property
No vaping or cannabis use on the property

The house is located in a residential neighbourhood, no parties or loud music

The sewage drain pump system will kick in for 15 seconds when a guest uses any water source in the house

Please put refundable liquor cans/bottles in the designated bin on the deck

Guests are responsible for cleaning the BBQ after each use

Guests will use a keyless entry system for self check-in and check-out

This vacation home is managed by a vacation home property management company.

Guests will correspond with a member from the guest services team.

North Nanaimo is a desirable area, close to the city centre and a variety of nature trails and beaches. Most of the development in this area is no older than 30 years old, making it a popular neighbourhood. The houses in this area are often in upscale neighbourhoods and can include townhouses, condominiums and commercial real estate. North Nanaimo is also well-known for its abundance of restaurants, pubs, schools and nature parks. A central location, new developments and spectacular ocean views are all attractions for this neighbourhood.
This is our vacation home and we are asking guest to please respect a few requests.:

- Please do not wear your shoes inside the home.
- This property is non-smoking, please do not smoke, vape or use cannabis inside or on any of the decks. Smoking is prohibited to prevent forest fires.
-No parties, events, or loud music on the deck or on the property.
-Noise bylaws are in effect between 11pm to 7am, please respect the neighbours
-If you use the BBQ, please ensure you clean it afterwards or a cleaning fee of $250 will be applied to your stay. Put the cover back on the BBQ after each use.
-No live shellfish is allowed inside the house. If you go shellfishing, do not leave remnants of shells or shellfish on the property. Please return the shells to the beach or take them with you. If there are remnants of shellfish on the property, you will be charged an additional $500 cleaning fee.

When checking-out, please remember to,

-Tidy house; load and run the dishwasher, and start a load of towels
-Remove the trash and recycling from the house. Basic household trash goes in the black bin and recycling goes in the blue bin at the top of the driveway.
-Empty liquor bottles, beer cans, soda cans go in the bin on the deck. Do not put glass bottles or jars in the blue recycling bin. Glass jars in the black trash bin. Glass liquor bottles go in the bin on the deck.
-Upon departure, turn off all the lights inside the house, close and lock windows and doors, and turn off the fireplace. Turn off the ceiling fan and turn down the heat throughout the house.
-Sign out of your Apps and streaming accounts, such as Netflix, Disney+, etc.
-Please take all left-over food with you.
-Ensure the BBQ is clean to avoid a $250 additional cleaning fee.

Wonderful family house

We stayed as two families consisting of 3 adults and 5 children, aged between 2. - 17.The house provided great bedroom options and split level layout that suited us perfectly! Communication with Heidi was great, we only needed to contact her once for check in! The beds are comfortable, great kitchen with essential provisions like coffee, tea, sugar supplies.The fireplace and downstairs lounge area was a hub for games and relaxing.The view from the deck is spectacular and we had regular visits from deer and squirrels!.We would happily return when next heading to Nanaimo!

There were more bedrooms than we thought - 4 bedrooms in all. 4 twin beds, 2 queen size beds. We really enjoyed our time here. Excellent view, clean, plenty of space and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous Peaceful Views

While we started the stay with a bit of communication confusion and found the kitchen floor to have missed its sweeping, the house was in a gorgeous location and proved to be great place for watching the northern lights. The four of us found the beds to be comfortable and enjoyed evenings on enjoying the fireplace, cooking, and using those great desk chairs to watch the sound and the lights. Overall, a great stay.

Incredible views!

This has to be one of the all time best deck views in Nanaimo! The house was clean and well maintained. But the deck…amazing. Good for coffee in the morning and old fashions in the evening. Perfect stay!

Incredible ocean views!

We stayed at Ocean Lookout during a family tour of Vancouver Island. The house was a great set up for the eight of us, and the views were incredible, especially watching the changing colors as the sun went down - the views of all the islands changed by the minute! I would thoroughly recommend Ocean Lookout to anyone looking to stay in the Nanaimo area.

Lovely getaway

Can not begin to describe how lovely the house and view were! So calming and relaxing. 3 deer came to visit each morning as we were on the deck. House was pristine and lots of room for 8 ppl. Wonderful Spot

My husband and I plus another couple very much enjoyed our stay at The Ocean Lookout. It’s a lovely home and setting. It was comfortable for two couples as their bedroom/bathrooms so there was privacy. There are also two bedrooms with twin beds. The deck area is large and inviting.I recommend it!

Perfect spot to reconnect with old friends

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at this lovely spot. It was incredible to be in the middle of the city, and yet feel like we were in an isolated country house. Loved the view and really enjoyed our time in front of the fireplace and fire pit. Communication was excellent. Check in check out was simple. Highly recommended!

Summer Escape

We had a lovely 2 day stay at this beautiful property in August. The pictures of the view off the giant back deck do not do it justice, it is breathtaking - especially during sunset and sunrise. Pastel gradients that I previously thought were confined to cheesy Bob Ross Paintings! The inside of the property was perfectly clean and spacious for our family of 3 kids, and was well decorated with even a Totoro clock on the wall. Do note that this property is not air conditioned, so keep an eye on the weather before your stay. Even in the peak of August summer it was cool enough for our stay, though. The location was well suited to seeing all the sights - Englishman River Falls, Coombs, Parksville beach all within easy driving distance. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Stay With a Breathtaking View

House and property is beautiful. Would have liked a better stocked kitchen there were no dish cloths, foil and we ran out of paper towel. Neighbors were a bit loud and we wish more of the windows had screens. Overall the property is lovely.
