„What more could you ask for than a property where the supermarket (and many eateries) are around the corner and the bus stop is opposite the front door. Rayrigg is perfectly located, with a bus every 20 mins to take you to the railway station (about a 10 minute walk) or to other towns in the District. Just note, if you are challenged by directions, Lake Windermere is in an area called Bowness, and about a 45 minute walk to Ellerthwaite Square. I had the top room, so plenty of stairs to climb, ...

„We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. „We have had three pretty days at the Bassenthwaite Lake Side Lodge. Everything was successfully. We loved to sit outside on the terracce. It is such a quite, peacefull place. Two times we walked to the Pub "Sun in" in Bassenthwaite it is a halfe hour walk away.“

„Der Aufenthalt an sich war sehr schön. Das alte Cottage hat Charme, ist gut gelegen für Ausflüge im Lake District. Leider war es für unsere Vorstellung an einigen Stellen nicht besonders sauber. Das Spinnweben in einem alten Haus sind, ist verständlich. Das aber der einzige sehr akte Kleiderschrank z.B. schon vollgestopft mit Bettzeug usw. ist, fanden wir nicht so schön. Leider sind hauptsächlich in der oberen Etage Kleidermotten zu finden, wahrscheinlich wegen der schon sehr alten Teppiche. Der ...

„The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with modern kitchen & bathroom, a comfy sofa and bed and beautiful views. It is tucked away in a peaceful location but only a short drive from Derwent Water and Ullswater so there’s plenty to see and do nearby. The secure garden was perfect for our dog. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage to couples / singles who want a peaceful location.“
