The Space:
It’s hard to do justice to this spacious house in words. Imagine sipping your morning coffee alongside chatty Kookaburras and a lively bird orchestra.
The house has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sprawling open-concept setup for living, dining, and cooking up a storm. Ideal for epic group getaways or a fancy business trip. Just a heads-up, we do not permit parties and events at our properties.
Guests will be struck by the charm of the light-filled airy house.
Four cozy bedrooms await, three flaunting queen beds while one gets fancy with a bunk bed, all sharing two bathrooms.
All the rooms have split air conditioning systems, One bathroom flaunts a luxurious walk-in shower, while the other boasts a shower over a bath for some splashy fun!
Sunlight spills through the doors and windows, illuminating dining and living spaces. The expansive backyard beckons you to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. Picture yourself enjoying leisurely meals under the open sky, enjoying the gentle breeze. This outdoor sanctuary is a perfect retreat for both solitude and gatherings with loved ones. This house does NOT have a pool. Dive into the refreshing waters of Picnic Bay or Arcadia beaches for a splash-tastic time!
For the active traveller, embark on a breathtaking stroll in the national park or by the seaside. One thing's for sure - boredom doesn't stand a chance!
Guest Access:
The whole house and surrounds are your to enjoy while you stay here.
The gardener and maintenance contractors will attend and maintain external areas.
As part of check-in we require photos of photo ID and Credit cards. These are destroyed as part of our post-check out process.
Self check is preferred.
The Neighborhood:
Nelly Bay is the place to start your exploration of the island with bus depots, car rentals and facilities all within a 5 minutes of the Ferry Terminal.
Nelly Bay offers some amazing restaurants and cafes.
There’s a large stretch of quiet, uninterrupted beach just south of the house. Alternatively spend some time snorkelling over the reefs at high tide, with wading only possible at low tide. There’s a large stretch of quiet, uninterrupted beach just south of the Ferry Terminal.
Getting Around:
We recommend having a car to fully enjoy your Maggie Island adventure. There’s parking available on the property, plus plenty of street parking. The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the ferry terminal. From there, you can explore the island’s beautiful walking trails, take a bus, or use your car. Scooters are also available at Nelly Bay for a fun way to get around. Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to your Townsville Apartments and Homes on The Strand property! We’re thrilled to have you and want to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Here are a few friendly reminders:
-Behavior: Please keep noise levels down, especially from 10pm-7am. Respect for our neighbors helps everyone enjoy their stay. Persistent noise complaints may lead to eviction.
-Cleaning: Help us maintain a tidy home by leaving it clean. Excessive mess requiring extra cleaning may incur a charge of $100-$150.
-Damage & Breakages: You’re responsible for any damage, wear, or missing items. Charges may apply if issues are noted after your stay.
-Keys: Report lost keys immediately. Replacement costs $75. Lockouts incur a $60 fee plus locksmith charges.
-Liability: We aren’t liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss. We recommend travel and health insurance for peace of mind.
-Lost Items: Left something behind? We can return it for a $50 handling fee plus shipping costs.
-Occupancy: Only the number of guests booked can stay at the property.
- Parties and functions are not permitted
-Pets: Pets are welcome with prior approval. Unauthorized pets may lead to extra fees or eviction.
-Rubbish: Please use council bins for rubbish regularly and before departure.
-Security: Ensure all doors are locked and air conditioners turned off when leaving.
-Smoking: This is a smoke-free property. A $400 fee applies for smoking inside, and a $150 fee for cigarette butts found on the property.
