The hotel rooms are in much needed upgrading. The lamps were in poor condition. The refrigerator made a ticking sound and some water leaked into the lower level. The bathroom with the toilet and shower was tight even though the sink was outside. This style of the sink outside of the room with the toilet and shower prevents washing hands after using the toilet until you step outside. The TV was so small as compared to the width of the dresser cabinet that housed the refridge and the microwave. At minimum, it should be at least 50 inch. The microwave had a minute 'dial' on it and a missing handle. The microwave looked like it was produced in the 90s.A couple of lampshades were stained and had some punctures in it. WHAT WE LIKED: The service in the dining area was excellent. The check-in staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Miss Amanda who managed the buffet was so accommodating to our needs. She kept the area clean and the food was fresh and hot. She was so nice and wanted to make sure we were pleased with everything. She is an excellent employee. RECOMMENDATION: Invest some money in the hotel rooms. Candlewood Suites and Homewood Suites in same area had many more vehicles in the parking lot and customers during our stay. La Quinta parking lot was nearly empty every night during our 4 day stay which may be a factor due to the condition of the rooms. It is convenient to the area we needed to visit but the
