Unit 6 is a one bedroom, dog friendly room in one of the most sought after locations in Newport. The room boasts a king size bed, a pullout queen size sofa, ample closet space, TV, and coffee station. There is a modern ensuite bathroom with a walk-in glass shower.

This property is unique in that it is a Boutique Inn, meaning you have a private bedroom and ensuite bathroom, but also have full use of a common kitchen, dining area, office, deck and living room.

29 Pelham Street is located in one of the most sought after locations in Newport on historic Pelham St. You are a five minute walk to famous Newport landmarks such as: Bannisters & Bowens Wharf, Trinity and St. Mary's Church and The Black Pearl Restaurant. Truly, you are in the heart of it all with dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and sights right outside your door.

Hop in your car for a 10 minute drive to both the Ocean Drive and Bellevue Avenue Preservation Society Mansions.


Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the doors and Wifi. Super easy!

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.

Parking is located behind the building with two spaces alongside the building as well. There is one space allocated per room.

29 Pelham Street is a truly unique property. It is modern and fully updated Boutique Inn, meaning, there are common areas which all guests have access to and can use at their leisure, including the living room, dining room, and kitchen, office, and deck.

However, it also boasts six private bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, as well as one two bedroom suite, also with an ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, some coming equipped with pull out sofa beds, and the renovated bathrooms all have glass walk-in showers.

This is a dog friendly property with parking for seven cars. The entire building was recently upgraded to mini splits in each room. Cleanliness is our top priority as well as providing guests with high end linens, towels and toiletries.

The place is amazing. Our suite was a perfect size for me, my husband and our 22lb Frenchie. King size bed, a sitting area with couch and chair and a huge walk in shower. Our room was stocked with plenty of coffee pods, mugs, a refrigerator, plenty of towels, washcloths and hand towels. Lots of blankets and pillows too. Full size shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Nice size smart TV too. The common areas were spacious and luxurious. Another coffee bar is located on first floor (besides the bar in your room). The kitchen was full stocked with cocktail glasses, wine glasses, several sizes of coffee mugs, pots pans, plates, cutting boards, salad bowls etc. it was nice to be able to make a cocktail and relax. Having an assigned parking space was key to being able to visit spots and easily come back and park. Less than a block to Thames street where all the action is. The place was better than a hotel and the location was right in the middle of the action. Plus they are dog friendly!! 10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We loved the location, a few minutes to the wharf, minutes up to Spring Street or to Bellevue Avenue or to Thames Street. Off street parking, nice size and comfortable rooms. Just know that it is not handicap accessible.

Great location for downtown Newport
This was a great choice for our weekday October stay. Pictures shown in listing are accurate. There are common areas that we didn’t really utilize during our stay but all was very neat and clean. One thing to note is that the only way to communicate with property manager is through the VRBO app. Location was great for Newport Harbor. Noise was not an issue during our stay as we were there Mon- Wed. Neighborhood felt very safe while walking around during the day and at night, too. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely room in a quiet house with access to the professional level kitchen, though we didn't use the common areas. Very nice bathroom, nice king bed. My daughter slept on the pullout coach which was not comfortable at all — our only criticism. I would stay here again without hesitation. Location is excellent, right off of Thames St., yet quiet.

The property was recently renovated and had great amenities. The room was spacious and clean. The location is within walking distance of many restaurants and the downtown area. I like that there was Roku so I could stream on the TV. My only comment would be to have a way to text the owner or manager--I had trouble figuring out the volume on the TV and had no way to ask.

We loved our room and the building. We rented this place based on the fact that there was a parking spot and laundry. The parking was as advertised, the laundry worked for us, but the laundry room was not as nice as the rest of the house. Overall, it was very nice.

Perfect location, excellent stay
Staying at 29 Pelham puts you right in the middle of all of the restaurants, shopping, museums, etc that you could ask for; while still being a block up so that it's quiet at night. The room was spacious and comfortable. Can't imagine a better place to stay while in Newport for a few days. Definitely looking forward to bringing the family and booking more units next year!

Great Spot!
Overall, this is an awesome property. Super easy to walk to tons of places, and very recently renovated. The room was spacious and sunny with great blackout shades for late sleepers. Everything was clean and new! The common spaces are a nice a addition. Check in directions were simple and parking was easy. The pictures are exactly accurate. You really couldn’t hear neighbors, though we do sleep with a lot of white noise so I can’t vouch for what it’s like if you don’t use that. The only thing making this place not perfection is that there’s a large bar a few buildings down on Thames and on the Friday night that we were there, you could hear the bass until they closed at 1am. The white noise machine that the room provided and the one we brought from home mostly did the trick. This isn’t a big deal if you’re planning to be out till 1:00, of course, but with our 2 year old, we were turned in early! I would absolutely recommend this place. Honest, spacious, clean & central location. Checks all the boxes!

We had a good time. So glad we could bring our dogs, though there was no green areas right outside the house for them to potty. But short walk to park and Starbucks. We liked being able to walk to restaurants and shops. The Cliff Walk was a really fun activity. So beautiful!

Recently modernized property in historic district....step our the front door for walks through historic neighborhoods in all directions,.... and very close walking distance down the hill to Thames Street to downtown restaurants and water front. On site parking a big plus. Common area modern kitchen dining and den areas. Very clean and attractive property.

The property was fully renovated and everything was brand new and immaculately clean. And the shower was amazing! The location was fantastic- we were able to walk right in to town. Loved having the common areas to make tea and coffee in the AM and store left overs for lunch the next day.
