While everyone was friendly and polite, it saddens me that, as someone who recently switched from a Marriot Rewards Program to Hilton Honors, there was no mention of any treatment that made me feel like a special guest—even after I stated that, for personal reasons, I switched after being on the Marriot Reward Program for 30 years. When I arrived to check in - the woman at the desk asked someone else to check me - and said that person was "new and needed the experience." - However, he laughed (the person who asked to check me - he was not behind the desk at the time), so I was not sure this was true. If it was true, she should have made sure he checked me in correctly. I explained why I was there and that I saw a bad review about someone else being checked into a noisy room - So I wanted to make sure I got a quiet room. He checks me in a room beside the highway. In addition, the room was dark, and things in the room did not work - that should have been checked or addressed before checking someone in.
