Absolute Worst Stay
Our experience at this North Myrtle Beach rental was disappointing.Leading up to our stay, the host, Baywatch, sent daily emails asking for a review—months before our trip. One day before check-in, they requested multiple verification items, and on our travel day, we received emails claiming our deposit hadn’t been paid (despite having confirmation). Instead of calling, they continued emailing, which caused unnecessary stress during our trip.Once there, we encountered more issues. On our first morning, an alarm instructed everyone to evacuate. We carried two kids down 18 flights of stairs, only to be told by maintenance that it was a recurring issue and not an actual emergency. The host never informed us about this in advance.The unit itself needed attention. Some stove burners didn’t work, the dryer wasn’t efficient, and the beds were uncomfortably firm. A chair on the balcony was broken, outlets worked inconsistently, and the kitchen knives were dull. The refrigerator needed better cleaning, and we saw a pest in one of the bedrooms.With better communication and maintenance, this rental could be much improved. However, based on our experience, I wouldn’t book again.
