„Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Freundliche Begrüßung des Inhabers mit anschließender Vorstellung der Anlage und Einweisung in der Unterkunft. In Covid-19 Zeiten wird sehr auf Hygiene und Einzelfrühstück geachtet. Dieses bestellt man online am Vortag. Frühstück selbst war ok. Cappuccino und Espresso haben leider nicht geschmeckt, was für Italien eigentlich ein No-Go ist! Negativ war, dass das gesamte Frühstück auf Plastiktellern mit Plastikbesteck geliefert wurde. „Very nice welcome by our host and we started immediately with wine tasting with cheese and bruschettas. Although we were the only guests she offered to make dinner for us. But we went into the centre of Montepulciano (walking distance) and found a few open restaurants. Beautiful centre with a few shops open despite the winter period closures. Execellent wines in Montepulciano! “

„The hotel was located within the old town of Montepulciano with many cafes, restaurants and wineries close by. The self check-in instructions was communicated the day before by WhatsApp and went flawless. The view from our room was the highlight of our stay with views on the old town and the landscape of Tuscany. “

„My second time here, and it was great as last time. The hosts are fantastic and so warm. Highly recommended hotel, in the city center with parking in front of the entrance. The rooms look very antique and give you an ancient feeling in this lovely town. Great stay in Montepulciano!“

„This is an amazing place. Small, only a few rooms but excellent. We had a room with 5m high ceiling, historic fresco drawing on the ceiling, huge bath tube and a private steam room (!). Beds were super comfortable, mini bar and breakfast included. Simply amazing. Best hotel by far during our Tuscany tour. Unfortunately only stayed 1 night. “

„Sehr freundliches Personal mit hervorragender Lage in Montepulciano. Parkplätze, reserviert für Hotelgäste, bei einem unweit (ca. 200m) in einem öffentlichen Parkbereich verfügbar. Sehr schöne Dachterrasse mit wunderbarer Aussicht vorhanden. Das Motto des Hotels „il Riccio“ (der Igel) wurde in vielen Details eingearbeitet, das trägt zu dem guten, sympathischen Gesamteindruck bei.“

„Lupaia is a fantastic place to enjoy and relax. The service is exceptionally friendly and courteous. Those who love the Tuscany will especially like this place and the charming hotel. We spent five days in the Holy Week and appreciated the peace and intimacy of the nice hotel. The hotel is a great starting point for excursions. We were particularly amazed about Assisi.“

„Es war von Anfang an alles perfekt. Das gesamte Personal samt Chef waren sehr freundlich und immer gut gelaunt. Wir haben hp gebraucht und waren mit den Mahlzeiten mehr als zufrieden. Das Abendessen wurde als vier Gängige Menü serviert und war sehr lecker. Am Morgen gab es überwiegend süßes Frühstück mit verschiedenem Obst. Auch an der Sauberkeit haben wir nichts zu bemängeln, alles Top👍Die Gegend rund um Montepulciano hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Vielen Dank noch einmal für alles.“

"Der service ist extrem schlecht! Junger schlecht ausgebildeter Service, unterirdisch für ein 5 Sterne Hotel. Vollkommen überzogene Preise, Eierspeisen werden beim Frühstück extra berechnet. Essen ist sehr gut, Ambiente auch!"

"Tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir mieteten ein Zimmer für 3 Nächte inklusive Abendessen. Zum Abendessen wurden ausschließlich italienische Gerichte im Umfang von 5 Gängen serviert. Sehr lecker und elegant! Das Hotel liegt im Stadtzentrum und verfügt über einen guten großen Parkplatz. In der Nähe von Geschäften und Restaurants. Unweit des Hotels befindet sich ein Olivenpark. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Spa und eine eigene Mineralquelle. Wenn wir uns entscheiden, erneut in die Toskana zu reisen, werden wir nicht darüber nachdenken, in welchem Hotel wir übernachten werden."

A lovely hotel with a great view in Montalcino

"The hotel is a little bit located outside from the center of the village (no walking access to the center) with a great view & lookout around the beautiful landscape of Toscany. We loved the breakfast buffet with the fresh made tortes & cookies every day & the fresh portions sliced fruits to eat with muesli & yogurt. If you like you can sit outside on the terrace to eat your breakfast. The hotel area nice with flowers, herbs and big trees The swimming pool had a good size & chairs with umbrellas. Everything looks in good condition & is clean. The hotel offered a private parking for there guests. The rooms (Typ Bellevue) had a good size for two persons & a private bathroom with a shower & a hair dryer. And a wonderful & unforgettable view to the valley & some mountain in the background from the window. All staff where friendly & helpful. Especially the young lady at the front desk (Bianca) on our first night when we arrived. She helped us a lot with a problem without our rental car. Grazie mille una altra volta. Unfortunately for us only, that there was no restaurant directly in the hotel for dinner or right by the side so you can walk there. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay in this place very much. "
