With five bedrooms featuring a mix of queen and king single beds, three bathrooms, plenty of couches, two dining tables, a sparkling in-ground pool, and a huge backyard, there’s space for the whole family to spread out and relax, however they choose.
Strikingly decorated with features including a rock garden at the entrance and a claw foot tub in the bathroom, this well-appointed property has everything you need to enjoy a quick break or a longer stay. The practicalities of day-to-day life with a large group are covered, starting with the morning’s must-have coffee on the deck, through to the ducted air conditioning and ceiling fans. When the evenings cool down, you’ll appreciate being able to cosy up on the couch around the fireplace and watch a movie on Netflix – or if you’d rather go tech-free, you can play board games with the kids.
Start each day with a dip in the sparkling blue waters of your very own pool, then read a book on the sun lounge, as the kids burn off their energy on the play equipment. The large backyard has plenty of lawns for the kids and the dog to play, but is beautifully bordered by trees, making it feel private and secluded. With the magnificent vista of the river so close by, you’ll feel instantly calm as you gaze out the windows.
With plenty of parking space you can bring the boat and spend your days exploring the waterways, or just enjoy walking among nature on the well-graded bushwalks. It couldn’t be easier to fill your days with activities for the whole family, with Shoalhaven Zoo just a couple of minutes away by car. Go on a tree-top adventure, take in a round of golf, or just kick back and enjoy a drink at the local – whatever you choose, you’ll quickly feel at home at Island Retreat.

- Please note that we supply a number of basic pantry items at each property. We are, however, unable to guarantee the availability of all pantry items. 3 toilet rolls are supplied per bathroom. You may wish to bring additional supplies with you.
- Internet in regional areas can be inconsistent and uninterrupted supply is not guaranteed. We will not provide compensation for failure or unexpected unavailability of internet services.
- Fencing: The property is unfenced. Children and pets will need to be actively supervised.
- The property has air conditioning in the living areas and 3 bedrooms.
- Please note that firewood is only supplied from May to September.
- For your security and safety this property has an active Cctv camera at each corner of the property externally facing outwards. They will be on during your stay.
- This is a families only property and only permits a combination of adults and kids up to the maximum capacity. No groups of adults are permitted unless an intergenerational family group. Please specify this if booking more than 8 adults.
- We welcome responsible guests that will not cause disturbance to our neighbours.
- For our pet friendly properties, pets are welcome inside but not on furniture or beds.
- After booking you sign a rental agreement. Please contact us prior to booking if you'd like to view a copy.
- No schoolies, parties, bucks or hens groups are permitted.
- We reserve the right to request photographic proof of id such as driver’s license or passport.
- We use smart home technology to improve your experience.
