Our beautiful home sits on a cliff 80 feet above the shoreline. At low tide there are many rocks and a large beach. But even at high tide Pelican Rock stands above the water. There is no direct access to the beach from the house but it is only 9 tenths of a mile to Sport Heaven Beach, about a 20 minute walk or a short drive. Sport Heaven Beach has miles of sandy beach and there are many other beautiful beaches in the area. The house is 4 miles from the center of Brookings and 1 mile to the Harbor.  At the harbor there are great restaurants,  fishing charters and a great boardwalk overlooking the boats.
Come and enjoy amazing sunrises and sunsets.
We have lived in Brookings for three years now and love it year round.  We live in our home just 4 miles away with our three small dogs. We hope to see you soon.
Please no trailers. Our driveway does not allow for turning around a trailer.
There is a video camera above the garage door that monitors the driveway.
Please stay off the neighbors property and stairs to the beach

This was my favorite beach house ever! The location provides a stunning ocean view and the fenced yard was perfect for our needs traveling with a senior dog. Every detail in the house has been designed for the comfort and ease of guests, and the degree of cleanliness is outstanding. We stayed a couple of weeks before Christmas and were cheered by the cute decorations and lights that our host provided. John was a delightful and responsive host who provided tips on where to eat and what to see. So grateful for how "at home" we felt and can't wait to return!

Early Christmas
We spent the weekend before Christmas at this wonderful little spot by the ocean while celebrating with family in town. It was a wonderful respite from the fanatics of Christmas. The house was clean, the property and views were beautiful. We had everything we needed and our dogs were allowed to come. Would love to visit again!

Beautiful View from Great Fenced Yard
We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the yard and views. The house is very clean and comfortable. There isn’t direct access to the beach from the neighborhood. You can walk but the main road from the neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks. If you have a dog with you, we recommend driving the 5 minutes to get there.

Relaxing Retreat

The house was very clean, bright and comfortable. It had everything we needed and they even left us cookies! The view was beautiful, a great spot to sit and watch the sunset. Everything I wanted!
This a beautiful property with and amazing view. Open the windows and hear the waves crashing on the rocks down below. The house was perfectly equipped. Because I travel with my two Aussies this was a perfect choice because of the yard. The yard on the ocean side was fenced in and the yard behind the house was perfect for fetch! The owner was extremely kind and responsive and the housekeeper didn't leave a speck of sand. My week was just outstanding in every way. I highly recommend this charming house.

Great ocean view house.
This house was perfect for our stay. The house is perfectly stocked and very comfortable and clean. Great view and yard and we enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the fire starters and abundance of firewood. This is simply a great spot and our dog loved it too. This is a lovely location and John was a very kind and flexible host. The view of the coast is wonderful from the back yard, though there is no way to walk to the beach at this location. The house had everything we needed, though the shower and pillows could use an upgrade.

The property is beautiful. There are not many rentals that have a fenced yard for a dog, especially with a view. The fenced yard made our trip much more relaxing. We were able to enjoy the view with our dog, without having to untangle him from a leash all the time.

Perfect Ocean Cottage Hideaway
This property is a little slice of peaceful heaven. There’s nothing quite like drinking your morning coffee in the backyard with the ocean waves crashing in below you. The dogs enjoyed lying in the sun in the backyard and all the dog-friendly hiking recommendations. We are getting back on the road with two very tired, happy pups! This unique property is a perfect little hideaway and the owner couldn’t have been kinder.

We had the best time in Brookings. We loved the house. Perfect location, and the views of the ocean are spectacular. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was a great place to relax. We really enjoyed sitting at the firepit in the evening. It is one of the best dog friendly rentals ever! The owner was super helpful and responsive. He gave us great recommendations for dining out and even directed us to several fishing spots. We look forward to coming back!

Awesome end to Spring Break and Easter
Stayed here at the end of Spring Break 2024; great weather, great view from the living room, very friendly owner with helpful and very thoughtful communication through out the entire stay! Even had a little fun with the Easter bunny hiding some eggs around the property for the kids to wake up to [they had no clue He followed us to the beach :-) ]. Also, was able to bring our new pup for her first beach visit ever! Great trip, great little place to stay with a great view!

Just the spot
It really does look like this from the main living room window, although we had fabulous stormy seas in late December. Perfect size for two adults but the three beds could sleep five. I wish it was closer so I could visit more often.
