Disappointing Stay Despite a Beautiful Property
We recently stayed at this mountain rental for Thanksgiving with a group of nine. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and excellent amenities that promised a perfect holiday retreat. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a major issue: there was no hot water throughout our stay.
Despite multiple calls to the property managers, the issue was never resolved. While they were polite and seemed concerned, their promises to fix the situation led nowhere. It was extremely difficult to enjoy the otherwise lovely home when we couldn’t take hot showers after cold mountain days.
I contacted the property managers afterward seeking a fair resolution, only to be offered a paltry 15% refund. This is completely unacceptable given the circumstances. I pointed out that they were clearly out of compliance with the rental contract, only to be told that their contract states they have no liability for the condition of the property. What?! So you’ll charge thousands for a stay, but not guarantee that major services and appliances will be operational? What’s the point?! This response demonstrated a total lack of accountability and even basic empathy for our situation.
