„Wasnt bothered, quaint location very enjoyable“

„Booked for a friend’s 40th based on the photos & description, but the reality was a far cry from what was advertised. We tried to enjoy our stay, but numerous issues were inescapable and caused serious frustration.The morning of, the property manager warned me of a leak. But when we arrived, it was clear the house wasn’t prepared. Several inches of snow and nothing plowed. The place was filthy—mouse droppings in drawers, trash cans with beer cans and cobwebs. „With our family, we spent several days at this place between Christmas and New Year's. A wonderful place to stay and the hosts were very easy to contact and were very helpful.“

There was ample room for our family of 4, were able to hike in Van Buren State Park and along Lake Michigan from the cabin and were still minutes from town to go in for dinner. „We had everything we needed for a family vacation. Didn't need to do anything else“

„It was a real nice stay. We had alot of fun.No complaints but a couple of improvement opportunities. We shoveled the entire driveway to improve parking, the top step coming up from the laundryroom is taller than others trip hazard, Bunk bed ladder needs secured.“

„Who knew that sand and snow combined would be just what we needed! As soon as we walked into our cottage getaway, the cozy space welcomed us with a beautiful kitchen, large TV and the bed was really comfortable!! We felt secure, we felt the kitchen was well supplied and the town was welcoming and friendly! We'd love to come again and bring our family!!“

„The property was lovely, quiet and clean- must be fairly new to rental market still needed a couple things. Communication with rental group was very delayed or None existent. I had to directly contact host who called immediately. Met another renter at the pool who stated she’s stayed in neighborhood twice and both times communication was awful. We were never told about a fob needed to get into pool ( she waited 6 hours for a response and told me). We searched the house and finally found it. “

„Nice property but hot tub spa was not working nor was the ice maker.“

„This cottage was completely adorable and SO clean! The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. The decor had a natural (loved the live plants!) and soothing feel. The area was very quiet and perfect for my solo retreat. It's also a very short drive to Kal-Haven trail, which was a delight. I plan to rent this again as this is one of the nicest VRBOs I've stayed in.“

„Not so easy finding a house that can comfortably accommodate 37 people with ages ranging from 8 months to 68 years but this one sure did. Very spacious with so many bedrooms and beds. Obviously the pool and hot tub were the high points but there were plenty of other things to do. Christie the manager was always on the ball to answer any questions that popped up. She was very accommodating as was Adam, the owner. We all had the greatest time.“
