Sweet Retreat at Mark Twain Lake

Welcome to the Sweet Retreat at Mark Twain Lake! Built in 1910, this beautiful home has lots to offer! Our home features three large bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with room to comfortably sleep 6-10 people - couches and air mattress increase sleeping capacity. Two living areas provide you and your guests plenty of space to spread out, relax, watch tv, or play a variety of games. Boat and trailer parking available. Hunters and fishermen welcome!

Downstairs, the home has a large kitchen equipped with everything you need for preparing a cozy dinner for two or a large family meal. The dining room is furnished with an oversized table and has enough room to seat a gathering of ten. A sun room is located just off the living area and is stocked with toys to entertain children on a rainy day, or can provide a quiet area to read a book while enjoying the view of the serene setting.

On the patio, you will find a firepit and outdoor seating where you can relax after a long day on the lake. A grill will be provided for you and your guest to use while relaxing in the beautiful country setting. The large open lot to the left side of the home provides an area for yard games and outdoor activities.

The home location offers many opportunities for fun and relaxation. The home is located just minutes from Mark Twain Lake, boat ramps, the state park, and much more. Mark Twain State Park is near with hiking, swimming, disc golf, and many outdoor activities. Jelly Stone water park and outdoor gaming area is just down the road. Come escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life; slow down and fall in love with Perry, Missouri’s small town charm. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunities to fish, boat, hike and more. Shopping lovers can enjoy the variety of small shops located in downtown Perry. History buffs can explore the birthplace cabin of Mark Twain at the Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site.
