„Property is beautiful and positioned well for visits along the Wild Atlantic Way. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Note - if you are from the US some of the heating and water terminology will confound you so ask questions of the host. There are instructions but are tricky if you are new to these systems. We had a bit of a delay in receiving texts so it took a bit. Once we had it sorted everything was fine. Absolutely comfy beds and lots of space. There were only three of us so we only used two ...

„Wonderful experience staying at the property. One suggestion for the owners is to provide instructions on the use of appliances particularly those appliances that are unique to Europe e.g. the combination washer- dryer, hot water heater in the shower etc. we figured it out eventually but a how to booklet would have been helpful.“

„Bill and I spent another incredible two weeks at Hilltown. The family connection is so important to us! We enjoyed walking the strands with old and new friends, meeting up for lunch dates with Bill’s cousin, visiting other cousins and friends! Our friends, who traveled with us,thouroghly enjoyed the comforts afforded at Hilltown, the beauty of the country-side and exploring what Donegal has to offer. We are already looking forward to planning another visit back to Ireland!“

„Having a lovely cottage to stay in while visiting beautiful Ireland was a blessing! Information was provided about the house & area. Everything was great! “

„Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Ferienwohnung ist groß, hat aber ihre besten Tage hinter sich. Das Bad entspricht nicht dem deutschen Standard, die Küche ist groß und man findet alles, was man benötigt, allerdings hier und da auch ein wenig schmuddelig. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Wohnung liegt an der Durchfahrtsstraße des Ortes. Das Schlafzimmer nach hinten raus war sehr ruhig, das vordere durch den Straßenverkehr recht laut. Dunkineely liegt ...

„Apartment liegt sehr ruhig im Hinterhof und trotzdem zentral in dem kleinen Ort, in dem es alles gibt was man braucht. Man kann zu Fuß zum Meer laufen, in der Nähe gibt es viele interessante Aktivitäten, vor allem in der Natur. Leider waren sehr viele Tierhaare auf dem Boden des Wohn- und Essbereichs.“

„Perfect location in picturesque Donegal, overlooking the Diamond. Nearby coffee shops, stores, and pubs. Good launching point for exploring the spectacular cliffs and other scenic sites. The owner was informative and accommodating.“

„We just stayed here one night but the Central Hotel was a good decision. Perfectly friendly people and service and everything was very clean. We parked the car safely down the road at a big public car park (you don´t have to pay between 6pm and 8am). There are some restaurants in easy walking distance as well as at least one supermarket.“

„The drive to the hotel is great and the castle itself is also a great view! Meets fully the expectations. Most rooms are within the annexes. Pool is ok, steam room but no sauna. With all the Americans there (it might even be run by one) it lost it‘s Irish Charme and felt more like Disneyland. For me a disappointment.“

"The location and the view from the room was fantastic and the main reason for booking. The beach is really close and you can hear the sea. Qualtiy of food was very good and the prices reasonable. Staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Sleeping was very comfortable. The hotel is a little bit old and you see it, especially in the outdated bathroom. All this is OK and would get a rating of 4 stars or better. Not OK were too many unclean areas! Sand so close at the sea would be OK, but dust and spider webs, not properly cleaned bathrooms and dirt as well as not cleaned sitting areas outside (balcony) are not acceptable. Anyway we hope to come back, because we love the country."

"Hôtel vieillot avec pas mal de choses à réparer ou nettoyer! Le petit déjeuner n’est vraiment pas terrible, rien de très bon et très peu de choix. La clientèle un samedi soir fut très bruyante jusqu’au milieu de la nuit, et avec des portes qui laissent passer tous les bruits nous avons mal dormi…. "
