Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of country living on a generationally owned Mississippi family farm. When you step into Cold Creek Cabin you'll be standing on reclaimed oak flooring over 100 years old. The open kitchen is joined by the living area and contains quartzite leather contertops, stainless steel appliances, double ovens, a side by side refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and all the utensils you'll need to cook until your heart is content. If grilling is your thing you won’t find a better setup than our Weber propane gas grill with every imaginable utensil. As you peek beyond the living area through the large wall to wall casement windows and french doors your eyes will immediately be drawn to the the 50-plus year old pond stocked with bream, crappie, and bass and the covered pavilion that sits out over the water. Just off of the living area you'll find a short hallway that leads to both the master bedroom and a bathroom that can either be shared with downstairs guests or kept privately for occupants of the master bedroom. You'll also find a combination washer/dryer closet in that hallway. The master bedroom has full length windows that can let in as much natural light as you'd like or you can close the drapes and go into total seclusion. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms and a shared bath. One bedroom has a queen size bed that has a pond view, Boll and Branch sheets, and a 43” smart TV. The other bedroom has two twin bunk beds with high thread count sheets that also overlook the pond. The full bathroom is in the hallway between the two bedrooms and includes high quality H2O soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions.
When you exit the cabin about the only noises you'll hear will be those made by the numerous birds, crickets, frogs, etc. In the summertime the martin house will be swarming with martins. Canadian geese stay for weeks at a time while migrating to and from. Over 250 acres of family owned property surrounds you so you don't have to worry about privacy. Take a few steps down to the covered pond pavilion, pull up a chair and read a book, enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail, stretch out and catch some rays, try your luck at fishing (4 cane poles, 4 rods and reels, and fully equipped tackle box included) or whatever else your heart desires. All we ask is that you relax and enjoy the serenity of country life.
